Status: offline 		I have a trac fone pre-loaded with a double minutes card.  No contract.  My newest fun is texting, so at the moment it would be difficult for me to give up my phone.

Status: offline 		yes, I have a cell phone .. no, I do not love it .... it is a necessary evil in life anymore .... umm's can reach me at anytime, is the good part , the bad part... so can everyone else .   and ohhh how thankful I am for caller I.D.  lol

Status: offline 		I have two but I only really use one which is tied up with my Internet and landline. It's one of those with a qwerty keyboard, a camera, Internet and Bluetooth, I use it to text and send and receive e-mails mainly. I try to keep using it in public to a bare minimum.

Status: offline 		I have a blackberry. I use it for my main phone, email, text messaging, and mobile IM (which I rarely use). If I don't want to be bothered, I put it on silent and voila - no intrusion. I use my bluetooth earpiece to talk through. I use it for work, for family, and socially. I like the ability to be able to text a friend that I'm running late for dinner, or the office to say I'm running late (I run late a lot), or to ask the girls at the office if they want anything if I'm stopping at Starbucks on the way. I don't particularly like to gab on the phone so I prefer if someone needs to get a message to me they just text or email me.

I don't consider myself "so important" that I need to use my cell phone (not sure where that notion comes from but I see it a lot). It's convenient, and nothing more. I only use my home line as a fax machine now.

Status: offline 		I have one, I love it sometimes and hate it sometimes, but being ambivalent to the cell phone wasnt a option. I do not have a land line, since I get a discount on the cell from work and see no reason to have both.
Fox also has a cell

Status: offline 		i do have one of the lovely things. i have had one since about '98 or so. it has been my only phone for the last 6 1/2 years. i did try a cable phone, but i so rarely used that i just said to heck with the expense. i do find that since i moved back to FL, and am not running between PA and here i dont use the dern thing as much. i dont really hate it or love it. i answer it when i wanna or can find it. an optional appenedage.

That's the thing. Just because it's ringing does not mean I'm obligated to answer it. If I'm not in a position to talk, or if I just don't feel like talking, well, that's what voicemail is for. That's why I don't understand the whole "intrusion" mindset.

I got my first cell phone when I had Things.  I wasn't sure what to do if something happened and I didn't have a phone nearby.  I have LOVED having mine.  I control when I answer it or don't, just like my house phone. 

This summer was critical for me having one and for the family one that Thing 1 had.  He had a skateboarding accident and was bleeding terribly, had to get a mess of stitches in his chin and mouth, and if not for the cell phones, I wouldn't have been able to figure out where he was and get the rescue squad there before his dad or I could reach him.

I also love that I have spent hours and hours talking to great people on my cell phone.  I love that Daddy got me a Bluetooth for Christmas last year and I can go hands-free whenever I want (which is nearly 100% of the time).

Status: offline 		i have Tracfone. i need a cell so that the kids can find me if needed when i am not at home. i don't use it enough to spend $60 a month on a regular plan -- about 60 minutes in six weeks maybe. i have a basic phone, it doesn't take pictures or play music. It just lets me talk and text. So i don't love it and i don't hate it... it is a tool, nothing more.

Status: offline 		I have several cell phones. The only one I use mostly is the one my daughter gave me. We both travel a lot. I have no use for phones and she knows it so she gave me this one to keep in touch. The rest of the phones I have gotten from submissive friends of mine because I will not give out my home phone number. I have the phones tagged with names so I know who is calling. Heaven forbid I used the wrong name when I answer it.
