I have a dinosaur of a phone. I'm just waiting for it to die and I drop it at all times just so I can get a new one. I want one with all the bells and whistles. I want email access. I want camera capability. I want it in a pretty color. I want it with a little keyboard so I don't have to do that stupid mulitclicking on each number to text. I want bluetooth compatibility. I want a goose that lays golden eggs and I want one now!

I don't love it...but I do have one. Got one when I was traveling between job locations in northern and southern california. Now...I commute but have old parents so it helps me connect with doctors and such as well as my sisters one who lives on the east coast especially in regards to the parents and ongoing issues.

I don't have one, but someday I'll probably get one for emergency use like traveling and looking for directions or if the car breaks down.

I have a cell phone but it is such an annoyance. I rarely use it when I can avoid it.

I don’t talk on my cell. I only take it in the car with me in case of emergency. Years ago I used to carry one but it slowly seemed to turn into an electronic leash. If I didn’t answer the calls I was slave to the many messages. I had a secretary and soon made her take the messages. Then I turned off the message service feature and eventually phased it out of my communications system.

have one....and it's a pain in the arse! I actually use it more as a phone book and a clock than anything else. It's a pay as you go phone, and it's been de-activated a couple of times silmply cuz the card ran out from non-use.....oph well. i have it for emergencies, but use my land line over it if I'm at home. Texting is another use for it, but only to like one actual person....the other times it's to check a bank balance! I'm right there with Christine and everyone else who has issues with the idiots who feel that they can yap on their cells anyplace they want.......I've used my "Mom glare" on them many times to get them to hang up/shut up.....works pretty good! Either that, or I'll start parroting their conversation to anyone I'm with at the time. That'll shut 'em up too! "Cept Christine...don't pull out your beautiful hair....pull out THEIRS!

I got a cell about ten years ago as a requirement for my job - I was working a fairly dangerous job on the road and had to have access to 911 at all times. Then I moved to a boat and haven't had a land line since. Now, I live iwth Master and Mistress and they have two, one for home and one for her work... plus her cell, his cell, the um's cell, etc. It's fun for text msging with my underage nieces and nephews who love the text feature. It's made us have a lot more conversations than ever before. well wishes, sunshine

My cell phone is my only phone other than my computer to computer calls on Skype.

I got one only a few months ago for a neurotic little subbie I met here. She'd go into fits if I wasn't available 24/7. I wearied of her antics quickly enough. I kept it primarily because phone booths are not available anymore, so making calls when I venture into the big, bad city was becoming a real problem. If I could drop my land line and go strictly to cell I probably would. Why pay for two? But living in the country my options for internet connectivity are limited - cable is not available and satellite connections are pricey. I do loathe the myriad ways they have perverted the ways we spend our time, and the increasing need people have of being able to communicate IMMEDIATELY AND ALL THE TIME ANYWHERE. I was in conversation with a friend one evening about this very issue. We were sitting at a coffee shop enjoying our time together. Three people that were obviously together walked down the sidewalk in front of us and all of them were talking to someone else on their cells. We laughed out loud. Uncle Nasty

I've had the same number since 1991. My cell is always with me. I use it for work & my land line is hooked up to a fax.
