They talk about the transit strike in NYC costing the city $400 million a day in lost revenue because of all the lost Christmas shopping. I can believe that, but with all this buying frenzy, why haven’t I bought anything yet? I find it hard to find something appropriate that has a D/s tint.

First of all, I know nothing about women’s underwear or whatever it is called. I’m also not about to go into some kind of women’s store so I can turn red and wonder how many question what kind of panties, uh, I mean, shorts I’m wearing.

If I buy a woman anything, I’ll go into Wal-mart late at night and quickly grab something from that center bin. I scrounge around in that thing like I’m looking for the right spark plugs for my truck. I’ll stick whatever I get under the number 3 Nascar T-shirt I bought for camouflage that is in my cart. I hit the cashier with the empty line, paying cash, thank you, keep the change, helping her quickly bag it and hurrying out with my head down so the security cameras don’t see this act of perversion I’ve committed.

So underwear is not my first choice. Anyone buying or getting a D/s themed Christmas gift that they are happy about?

First off, I think it would be great if you got over your shyness and learned about women's clothes. Take a female friend with you to help ease the burden. Trust me, sales people at lingerie stores work with nervous straight males shopping for their female partners ALL the time.

And one of my oldest lines is that you aren't ready to live with a woman if you aren't ready to buy and stock the house with everything she needs for her. :)

And of course, underwear is hardly "ds" themed.

In fact I'm not getting any of my partners any particularly kinky themed gift (unless you count New Years at Dark Odyssey). For the kinky gift exchange at BESS I'm giving two rolls of duct tape.

Here is a short story for you ....

My first Master, a distinguished British man, took me to the mall and into a womans shop. He not only went through all of the racks with me, but he stood in line next to me while I was waiting to enter the fitting room and held a bra and panty set! When it was my turn, we both slipped into the small room. I squirmed into the silky clothing, met his approval and we exited to pay for them. If you could have seen the look on the womens faces, both shoppers and saleswoman alike, you would not be as shy as you are. It was pure envy and I was in heaven! We have said it before in other threads, confidence makes a person. Start small, buy a silky scarf -- it doesnt seem kinky when you are standing in line or paying for it, but OoOOOo the delicious things that can be done with it behind closed doors. : )

Nah, I generally do kinky gifts for kinky anniversaries.

Plus living in Indiana after living in NYC, I frankly don't find much around this state I would spend money on that is "kinky".

I got Fox a wet/dry car vac this year -- he was very excited about it and loved it dearly. He's driving to his parents house for the holidays tomorrow (a good 3+ hour drive) which is the longest he's driven since he's gotten his car. His sister is flying in so he is mostly going to see her and spend time with his whole family.

I am not getting boy anything D/s oriented, we are too new, but I did get him some "fringe" things (no you bad ones, not FRINGY-)--that provide the allure, more of Me being there as we are many miles apart---but also things he can use in the vanilla world--

and Steel---people would hardly see it as an act of perversion---as LA said, get someone's help and the best place is Victoria's secrets OR a good store that specializes in the naughty, those sales people work with people everyday and think nothing of it---and btw I travel in your area alot and when I shop, I have a dear sub friend of Mine along for advice---so come on out and go buy some hot stuff---smiles

Being this late in the season
guess you will have to go the store route
any adult stores in your area

would suggest in the future that you try the adult stores online
do a google search for
adult toys
adult furniture
kinky clothing

before the internet there were quite a few mail order

Hey Steel,

There's this store called Victoria's Secret. Now THAT'S the place to go shop for her. The sales ladies are quite used to serving men, even shy ones, and you have GOT to love that place. Just a hint, find a way to note the sizes she wears of different things before you go there. That will definetely make your life a lot easier and you will be more comfortable. You will also look more 'worldly' if you already know what sizes she wears in things.

Too late now but BTW they also have a call center where you can call in and order from their catalogue. Quick, easy and the stuff is sent right to your door. If you get red faced nobody knows!

The excitable and the kinky???? mmm lets see now.... 'Angel' bought her sister ' Wild Child' several items including a 'kink' black bodysuit (online) and some beautiful earrings, with small red coloured floggers hanging from them.

Wild bought matching necklace stands for herself and Angel to put their 'day collars' on.

Like too many get hung up on the value in monetry terms, it really is the thought and actions that one puts into making or purchasing a unique individual item. I prefer a well written handmade card over a commercial gift worth countless dollars. (Mind you, I say this knowing that both girls have/are making their gifts for me)

The best Christmas present I ever got was breakfast in bed one year : ) It was so unexpected, and done so beautifully, that I have never forgotten it. Something so small, yes, but it meant more that anything that could have been bought at a store.

Just so everyone knows...He always gives me something sentimental and endearing..and not just at Christmas or my birthday..I find the little things he does to be the best- like the pack of cokes he put in my refrigerator just this week.
