Whatever happened to "its the thought that counts?" I would rather have a so-so gift that my man put some thought into than the newest fanciest girlygadget dejour that my man saw in Cosmopolitan. I personally would love to recieve a boquet of my favorite flowers bound by a pair of sparkly new handcuffs.

shall I bring some up for Lupercalia??

That looks SO good...I wish I could go.

phoenixslave -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/22/2005 7:45:16 AM)

the best gift Master ever gave me was not D/s specifically. He gave me a beautiful set of drawing pencils and papers. With this he gave me the gift of exploring something that pleases me without directly serving Him; acknowledging a talent and expressing the desire to see me happy in all ways. Of course he also gave me a new bondage harness....

When you use your creativity and inmagination, anything and everything can be use for D/s or kinky needs.

1. A knife

2. Lamp/wire cords

3. The Dog Tags that jewlry stores sell

4. Cork Screw/Bottle opener

5. Scarf

6. Tens Unit

7. Plastic Gift Cards

8. A belt

The list can go on and on and on. You just have to think what you can do with each and every item.

As for buying Female product/gifts, why give a fuck about what the strangers and cashiers have to say? Infact, why the fuck would they care to look and see what's in your cart. They are there to shop. If and when I'm at Wal Mart and looking for female products such as fragrence, bath, clothes, and and such, I get a female employee to help. After all, that's what customer service is there for. I've even asked for advice on pads, pregnantcy test, chocolate, lubricants and condoms before making a purchase and it was no big deal. Since you call yourself a Dom, I recomend that you start being more confident in what you buy at stores, ask for customer service when needed, and stop giving a rats arse of what anyone else thinks. After all, they won't even remember you the next time you enter the store.

While I don't celebreate xmas, for both religious and philosophical reasons, when buying any gift of importance for someone I think alot of thought needs to be put into it. I'll often search for weeks before finding the thing that in my mind associates with the event just perfectly. I normally have a habit of spending far too much on things as well, but what can I say... I'm a glutton.

Speaking of what types of gifts though, jewelry that is scene observant but also wearable out in public on a daily basis tends to be among my favorites. Traditional Middle Eastern or Gypsy slave wear, classical French slave necklaces, rings, corsets, lovely heels or boots, lingerie, things of that sort.

MasterLark -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/22/2005 12:40:03 PM)

Last year my slave gave me a hand-drawn ink-and-pastel drawing of herself bound for my pleasure. My gift is a specially wrapped (black wrapping paper with white speckles and a red cord ribbon) package with a poem I wrote for her, accompanied with a new gag and new handcuffs -- and did I mention the flowers too?

This was as much to celebrate the holidays as to memorialize the beginning of a new year of enslavement and submission.

GentileDomNY -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/22/2005 12:57:33 PM)

I've always given simple bits of jewelry that can be worn every day for every occasion, like a simple gold chain necklace with a locket. The traditional symbolism is very strong, as is the subtile feedback with how much its worn.
You may also want to explore doing your intimate apparel shopping more openly and conspiciously, including idle conversation with the sales staff and other customers. I've met more than a few very interesting people that way.

So underwear is not my first choice. Anyone buying or getting a D/s themed Christmas gift that they are happy about?

I make my own money, I can afford to buy myself whatever I want. The gifts that mean the most to me are those that come from the heart. How about fashioning a paddle made from your own hands?
How about a romantic night of play? Fashion up some nice D/s themed coupons on the computer..print them out and make a book.
Of course keeping your partners likes in mind over and above your own.
I noticed when I visited the midwest there were very few adult stores.
So, if you want to buy something without embarrassement why not shop online?
Ebay, JTs stockroom...amoung many thousands of others.

I understand your apprehension my dom was the same way when we met. Somehow being in charge and getting his way no matter what it was made him grow up a bit more in that arena. Now he is not afraid to buy anything female related.

ExistentialSteel -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/22/2005 4:03:54 PM)

I want to thank all of you. You gave me practical suggestions that I will follow-up on and things to think about. I appreciate it. Merry Christmas or whatever you want to celebrate or not celebrate.

"just because" is the BEST reason to give a gift

GADomCpl -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/24/2005 8:17:50 AM)

My first time buying lingerie for Liz happened while I was deployed to Iraq. Luckily I got off just ording it online so that I would have something very nice to come home too. I would go into lingerie stores and feel like a total perver (they are all staring at me, and I DONT LIKE IT!!!) Since then, we regularly hit up Victoria's Secret and Fredericks when we happen to be at the mall and even the occasionally cheese sex shop here in town. Last night we were laying in bed watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and they got to the scene were clark is at the mall talking about his divorced wife with the lingerie salesgirl and generally making an ass of himself. Liz asked me if I would ever take off my ring or something like that so that I could hit on the salesgirl. I told her that it was much easier and better to get the salegirl to eye you simply by going in there, browsing around, maybe asking her opinion about something, but just being comfortable about being in there.

sub4hire -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/24/2005 1:41:31 PM)

A dysfunctional Christmas Classic. Christmas Vacation.
I don't remember him taking off his ring.
Maybe its high time to take another look at the movie, just because.

HMMM guess what Santa left under my tree? Thay actually CAN be quite pleasant on the right setting..but then I'm obviously not holding the control so it can go from pleasant to OOWW WHAT THE FUCK?! in a second. Somebody gets a kick out of watching me get all comfy and relaxed then POW and I'm about a mile off the bed.

I think Santa maybe got the name tag mixed up. This one was meant for Fangs. Although, I admit it is kinda fun. :)

liljoy -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/26/2005 12:08:04 AM)

MrBiguun51 -> RE: D/s Christmas Gifts? (12/26/2005 8:06:41 AM)

I bet that was a treat for Fang
watching you bounce that high off the bed
