I am interested in corsets, perhaps I might get one, but am interested in what others have to say about them, those that wear them, why you wear them etc. Males wear them I know, concealed and otherwise, I would be particularly interested to hear from males what it is these things do for you, be you sub or dom, or just an individual.

They feel good, pulled tight around my torso causing my posture to be straight.
They look purty!
I feel purty when wearing a corset, sexy and my owner thinks I'm delicious in a corset.

(I just wish they were easier to get into without assistance)

I love my corsets, I wear them as much is possible, but  like Camille, I wish they were easier to get into on your own (by the time I get myself laced into my leather one, Im too knackered to do anything else)
I love the restriction, the aesthetics, the boobage, the feel of being caressed by my pet when Im wearing it.
I love the corset, stockings and heels look. Makes me feel amazingly sensual. Do I need another reason? grin.

I have to admit I've never had one. If I did, it would have to be custom made, just because of my build. I've just never considered spending the money.

I am also claustrophobic and hate clothes that are tight and uncomfortable. They do not look the least bit comfortable.

i dont have a steel boned one yet, but even with my crappy plastic boned one, i still know why i liike them
a longterm tightlacer is like a living art form really
the constriction is nice, the effect on the boobage, the lacing is just wonderous (i think it plays into a thing i have with ropes)
they're just gorgeous things :)

I love me some corsets :P I have a certain kind of a figure, an "apple" figure, where I have a little or no waist. Wearing corsets and pulling them in on the right spot gives me a more sultry hourglass figure which makes me feel sechsay!!

I am not a male thank God; however, I have a friend who is a cross dresser.  He mades some beautiful corsets.  He claims they help with losing weight.   His wife wears them as well, and she says it helps drop inches.
I have one for public play.   It needs to be relaced.

I prefer waist cinchers to actual corsets.. probably because I dont have enough bewbage for a corset to make much of a difference LOL  But I love the shaping aspect

I love the look on me, the sharp definition of my forms, the feel of being held. So, so sexy.
And I do like the looks that I get when wearing one.

But yes, getting all laced up takes some time and work. However, I always found it to be worth the effort.

I adore my corsets, and if it were not for the Hives Thing, I would wear them much more often.  It helps that I have the right figure type for them, of course. [;)]

Corsets make my back feel great, I feel like I have a physical suit of armor to match my mental one, and they get me lots of attention.  The key is getting the RIGHT one.  My faves are custom made, but Versatile and Vollers have great off the rack styles--it's important to match your body type!  I have a gorgeous Vollers one that I got super cheap and rarely wear because it is meant for a long waisted person. [&:]   Delicious Corsets is my fave maker.   They RULE.

One thing a corset will NOT do--make you "thinner".  A corset RESHAPES your torso, but whatever excess flesh you have is going to go somewhere, south, north or backwards.

LOL LaT!!  Yeah, that's why my corsets are the UNDERBUST style!  Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to see... [&:]   Plus, I hate breast compression.

Suffering that apparently rare condition known as Marty Feldman Syndrome, a corset is just great for producing a decent cleavage. It also accentuates the figure - I have some surprisingly great shots from our last photosession ($9-99 each on request) - I'd do me LOL!

The problem of getting the thing on is another matter though. Assuming one gets it the right way up (I swear it wasnt my fault!), then with an arthritic neck that prevents you looking down to even so much as fasten the front, you need assistance! However, assistance being present its really quite nice to be laced up - sort of like a massage.

Only one thing to note Aneirin - make sure you get your shoes on before you put the corset on; its damned near impossible to reach down that far afterwards!

Yes, I have heard about that. If I get one of these contraptions, it wore than likely be the waist cincher type, to keep the near middle age spread under control, well, that's my excuse. Well, who knows I might go all the way, have to try some I guess, as I have not tried one specifically, but used to use a boned sports type stay at work, happily supplied by an ex employer who was scared we would sue him if we damaged the back at work.

It would also seem I have a thing about lace up things, so lacing is a desire.

I have pics of a local domly type doing up my shoes, so yes, the shoes first thing is essential.  And having someone ELSE lace you in is essential, too. It's possible to lace yourself up, but the stretching and reaching back puts your body in the wrong position for optimal lacing.  Also, eat AFTER you are tied up. 

My problem is that the SHELF gets in the way of anything like of a view of things south, so busk fastening needs a mirror, a helper, two helpers, or some combination of the above.  ZIP front corsets are divine, though they lack the useful front boning.

I lurve corsets, I'm round as a Mr Man and I just love having a bit of a waist for once.

Of course agreeing with the comments above about shoes, I wear my corset on the way to clubs and change my shoes there, and always seem to hopping round trying to get someone to do them up for me.

I recently got an underbust.... lovely, but I wouldnt wear it without a top under else no-one would see the corset...... Yeep. But very nice over a white shirt

I wear them and love them, though lacing yourself in works a lot better if you have a door handle you can use, lace running over the door handle then pulling, for some odd reason it seems to work well
