spending a wonderful day like today out shopping and spending time with a dear friend. hearing the joyful giggles of a small child the warm playful licks and love of my Shelties hearing my nieces scream Aunt T and run and tackle me spending days working with my Mama and Daddy.

Awww, now I have the warm fuzzys too! These responses have been awesome! And here I was getting all mopey by what now feel like trivial things. It will get better. And now, my list: -When my dog curls up on my feet when they are cold (big black lab) -I pick up my phone and the voice on the other end says "go outside and look west" at the amazing sunset -When my kids tell me I'm the best mom ever, it's always when I feel like the worst -Last year when I was convinced that all my friends and loved ones were going out of town during my birthday (falls right by Labor Day) but they really didn't, and surprised me every day for the entire weekend -When baby pulls me off the couch with his little arms, and when I sit down on the floor with him, he grabs his smelly blanket and cuddles in my lap -That look I get when I am fresh from a shower, or curled up in sweats and a tank top (raarr!) -Playing Grand Turismo 4 with Daddy -A bowl of steamed rice with lots of butter and soy sauce

My 6 month old kitten, Hearing a Father tell his son that he loves him, Watching a Father teach his daughter how to play ball, Puppies and kitties, Hearing my daughter tell her friends that her Mom is "way cool"[:D] My sub hugging me from behind and whispering "I love you Mistress" into my ear. ~Lashra

Hearing uhm start singing in the back seat while we're driving. Getting a hug and "I love you mommy" (even though I know it's a ploy to =can I get...) Watching people opening presents Random acts of kindess Encountering the occasional gentleman in public Seeing superstars spend their time, and money on the less fortunate Hearing the song "What a wonderful world" sung by Louis Armstrong, etc.... M

as a late entrant to the teaching profession (I qualified a year and a half ago): * one of my year 7 students bringing me back a little gift from her holiday - nearly made me cry * sitting down at home after a hard day at work and my little dogs both climbing onto my lap for a big cuddle * being told by a student that my lesson was 'cool' * my very new 'other half' telling me he misses me when we're not together * walking my dogs on a freezing cold morning, surrounded by ground level mist as we walk through fallen leaves. * my beautiful niece's new baby daughter, born 7 years to the day after my niece almost died following a devastating illness * knowing that you lot will make me smile, no matter how crappy I feel! {{{hugs to everyone}}} edited cos today I can't spell

When my preteen daughter spontaneously says "I love you". Getting a letter from my oldest at Boot Camp. This may be a no-no to say here, but I get warm fuzzies when I see couples at my school snogging goodbye between classes. Ah, young love. Students confiding in me because they see me as a trustworthy adult. Administration noticing how much time, love and energy I put into my students. Knowing He loves me has me walking around with a smile all day, everyday.

Hearing my Dad say "I love you" in his very weak and whispered voice. Hearing Sir say "I love you" Reading thoughtful and sweet emails from new CM friends. Listening to loud (good) music driving along the coast line. Wrapping myself up in my soft cushy blanket and watching a movie. My kitty curling up on my lap and falling asleep. girly

Getting head-bumps from felines. Being the filling in a kitty-doggie sammich while I sleep. Freshly laundered flannel sheets & flannel nighties. Good organic real chocolate to savor as I read in bed at night.
