Blaakmaan -> Al-Qaeda Calls Obama a "House Negro" (11/19/2008 4:11:43 PM)

As a black man, the ironies of this comment, especially considering Obama's "transracial" (ha!) campaign, are just too rich to contemplate!

Time will tell whether Al-Qaeda knows more than we know...

Knows more than we know about what?

This is the 3rd thread on this topic.

SageFemmexx -> RE: Al-Qaeda Calls Obama a "House Negro" (11/19/2008 4:23:31 PM)

I always find prejudice amazing.

slvemike4u -> RE: Al-Qaeda Calls Obama a "House Negro" (11/19/2008 4:25:53 PM)

Well Rule ,i would think that was obvious....Blaakmaan was obviously refering to the possibility of Al Queda knowing more than we do as concerns whether or not President elect Obama is or isn't a "house negro"...a patenly insulting possibility to both PE Obama and to the America that has elected him.The tittle of the thread and its subsequent question is repulsive

When Al-Qaeda takes the time to think of creative ways to cuss you, it is tantamount to a HUGE compliment, IMO.

Gosh- maybe they have an axe to grind with us.

Who cares what that group thinks.  There is nothing I see to note Obama as a puppet.   We shall see.

I think it is more relevant what a grocery store clerk thinks.  Not a known terrorist.

The guy is onto you! Obama is going to do the will of whites! (and every other ethnic group in the US)

Its called democratic representation I believe.

Yeah, I guess I'm a little slow today but considering that he is a "Blaakmaan" I would think he would not want to perpetuate a stereotype.

Oh come now Rule I assumed your question was meant to be sarcastic...as was my answer.

Nope.  Like I said, I'm a little slow today.  I've been trying to avoid these boards for the last few days and when you don't stay in practice you lose your edge.  [:D]

I really didn't harbor any illusion that this thread would actually go anyplace interesting, considering the fact that there don't seem to be ANY black people who post on the message boards, but:

GOOD GRIEF!

There's nothing repulsive about it.  If you don't dig it (or don't get it), that doesn't bother me in the least.  And I fail to see how posing the question could perpetuate a stereotype.

Since I'm part of "the America that elected him" (voted for him, in fact), and the First Amendment has yet to be repealed, I can and will express my opinion on the subject, your objections notwithstanding.

For purposes of clarification, the term "house negro" refers to a black who has a relatively privileged position (as compared to other blacks) and who, out of gratitude and loyalty to the whites who granted him his privileged position, does the will of whites, to the detriment of other blacks.

I think the term applies quite well to Clarence Thomas.  I truly hope it won't apply to the President-Elect, but time will tell.

By the way, slvemike4u, in your one post, you misspelled:

referring
Al-Qaeda (it's also spelled other ways, but not "Al Queda")
patently
title

Soooooo... there ya' go!

Good grief indeed.....where have you been, dude?  MzMia has been very vocal (or whatever you call typing here) in her support of Obama, let alone sambamansgirl & kyttynthemynx that pop into my mind, and there are many others!

'Al Qaeda's number 2'
Sounds like a perfect description to me.

I'm aware of what the term means.

What I was, and still am, confused about is exactly what you are trying to say.

As I recall, he didn't grow up in a position of privilege, so how does your analogy apply?
