Perhaps if you don't like fetish models, porn stars, and all of those other icky people, you should find another website?  Sending them hate mail through CM doesn't accomplish too much. ;)

Oh hell, Lynn.  For real?  Mystic and I have been getting along great so far, but this would put the brakes on it reeeeeel fast.  If you listed my favorite women in the world, two of them used to be pro dommes, one used to be an escort, and another used to be a stripper.  One now has a boatload of money, and two others have multiple Masters degrees.

On thread topic: it pisses pisses pisses me off when pro dommes and BDSMers in general say that pro dommes are "better" than prostitutes.  I love-as-a-friend a woman who used to be a prostitute, and she's one of the most intelligent, giving people I've ever met in my life.

The pro thing pulled me out of a sticky time in my life, and my parents as well, even though they still don't know about it. No hidden guilt here, although I could never be an escort.

Sex workers get a rough time of things, especially the girls who end up stuck under the thumb of a pimp. I'm hoping some day they will legalize and regulate the sex industry in the US, to make it safer, but I don't forsee it happening in the near future. It annoys me that having sex for money is illegal, but throw a camera in there all of a sudden and it's ok.

Paul Thorn has a great song, "Joanie the Jehovah's Witness Stripper."

She drives a new car
Wears expensive blouses
She tells her mama
She's cleaning houses.

I don't think Pro-Dommes are "better" than prostitutes, it's simply a different thing they do, it's like saying an apple is better than an orange or the other way round, both are in the adult industry and both are sex workers.

The one thing that however baffles me is that a lot of people do look down on prostitutes while they glamorize porn-stars. Both do the same, sex for money with strangers, the only difference I see is that porn stars seem to be better paid and they get filmed, it just doesn't make much sense...

Any woman who does whatever she wants to do with her body out of her own free will, I don't have a problem with it, by keeping it illegal the big problem is that you create a job-market for pimps because they do need protection and the state refuses to give it to them, so some guys manage to live off them and exploit them. Legalizing would take care of a hell lot of problems and create an income for the state through taxes instead of wasting money on prosecution.
