I have enjoyed many enemas but would not do one that has urine involved, you could catch things that would not be worth the risk.

To add to what yourMissTress stated, the best way to get accurate info is to go to a health clinic and talk with a person who has actual medical training. All activity carry some potential risk: some higher than others. It is up to the individual to determine what their own comfortability level is regarding their participation. If you can't ask at a clinic, then seek any organization that assists people with HIV/AIDS as they also have current info regarding safety issues.

OP, you might try looking up the book "Anal Pleasure and Health" by Jack Morin, Ph.D. Packed (if you'll pardon the pun) with good shit on the very subject you're interested in. I've been practiceing BDSM for about 20 years now, and I think it's one of the best, most straightforward books available. I'd quote the book here and now, to answer your question, but that would a) be really boring typing for me, and b) probably just set off another firestorm of posts from people who claim to know jack about the subject.
