Padriag, If I may suggest, I have found that it is far easier to write self-contained essays on subtopics, rather than covering the full subject, which quickly starts looking like a small book worth of work. When covering a full subject, the factoring process alone can take up so much space that a lot of readers get lost before they reach the end, regardless of how concise and well-formatted it is, simply because the number of factors involved is determined by the confusion of terminology and preconceptions around the subject, all of which must be addressed and untangled before a meaningful essay can be written on the subject. That is a significant part of the reason why I start so few threads: it takes far less work, and benefits far more people, to expend the effort on a small piece here and a small piece there. Of course, with subtopic essays, you can just define your terms, outline your starting point, and write from that perspective, hence the suggestion. Health, al-Aswad.
