I had to stop reading at "true submissive"...

I went a little bit further than that, but not by much.

OP:  Those qualities, personality traits and behaviors might be your preference, but obviously they aren't the preference of every dom.

OsideGirl -> RE: The natural submissive (11/26/2008 7:51:49 AM)

The "twue" is typically used in reference to people that like to use the words "true" and "real". As in "a true submissive does _____" or "a real Master does ______". Most people on these boards believe that there is no such thing as true or real.....only what works within each individual relationship.

bratb -> RE: The natural submissive (11/26/2008 7:54:18 AM)

OsideGirl,

Thank You kindly for replying !

i do agree with Your statement in regards to self centered , dishonesty as well as a big ego , although i am new to this forun and do not know the one who posted this . It is my opinion also that E/every D/s relationship is different and N/nobody has a right to judge whether it is wrong or right .

May i ask what the term " twue " means ? Perhaps it would help me to know the terms and abbreviations used here lol !

Thank You kindly ,
brat from RI

As in your screen name says brat but you aren't acting like a twue brat.(your way to polite) Talk to some of these female posters..They'll coax you in the correct etiquette.

AAAAAARG! Wall of text! *twitches then pokes eyes out*

Seriously. Please format so it's easier to read (either more line breaks, or more paragraphs, WITH indentation would be a good start)

bratb -> RE: The natural submissive (11/26/2008 10:56:30 AM)

colouredin,

Good and true = the OP's personal preferences.

John
This is exactly what I thought while reading this [:D] I just couldn't help to notice how many sentences in the original post starts with "I"... "I feel..."; "I love..."

To the OP: I, of course, agree with the honesty & respect part. But it's kind of a no-brainer and it's just as true if you refer to a dominant, switch... or any type of relationship as matter of fact. The rest is just... well... just a list of preferences. Everyone have their own and that doesn't make one person more true than another...

If i may say so, i do think that this post would have recieved different comments if the one posting it signed off with " Please offer Y/your opinions ! "

I was going to say something like, "then we could have attacked his slashy speak as well", and leave it at that.  But I'll add this:

Many of us cringe regarding the use of slashy speak as some of us find it annoying, and there are some people here with limited eyesight who use software that reads the text out loud for them. That software, instead of saying, "please offer your opinions", will say, "please offer why slash why oh you are opinions".  So slashy speak tends to hinder good communication.

No one here (at least, no one that I've noticed) will be offended if you just type in the normal, conventional way.

CalifChick -> RE: The natural submissive (11/26/2008 11:57:09 AM)

I think MoGA was the first one that I remember talking about it, and described what her software did.  I saw some other people talk about it after that.  Gobble gobble to you too!

I had to stop reading at "true submissive"... so much judgment, although it goes hand-in-hand with "natural submissive".

When I see the phrase "natural submissive", I always have to wonder why no one makes a big deal out of "natural woman" or "natural heterosexual" or "natural bisexual". The phrase "natural submissive", TO ME, just reeks of "someone else is better than you" or "subblier than you".

Cali

I use the term "naturally submissive" all the time. I never imaged someone would take it to mean that I think I am better than anyone. When I say it I just mean that being submissive feels natural to me, like it is a part of my personality. I am kind of bored with it though so I am expanding my dominant side which doesn't come as naturally to me.

faithbunny -> RE: The natural submissive (11/26/2008 5:48:43 PM)

There's a large difference between someone claiming to be "naturally submissive" and someone claiming to be "A natural submissive". Having a naturally submissive personality happens. Being A natural submissive is a false claim. Being A submissive is learned behavior. So, yes, someone claiming to be A natural submissive is typically someone claiming some Ultra, Brass Ring, Uber-slubliness.

Daes -> RE: The natural submissive (11/26/2008 7:41:28 PM)

This was taken from the Slave Protocol Handbook. I forget the author, but it was generally made for the author's M/s relationship.

And although a lot of you are putting the op down without reading the text,  it is Just common sense & knowledge. Being honest about who you are and what you want, communicating your needs etc.

It contains nothing about what a submissive (much less a "true submissive") should be.

The title is misleading, and the book (if youve read it) that this text was taken from does impose what a sub/slave should be either.
