I use the term "naturally submissive" all the time. I never imaged someone would take it to mean that I think I am better than anyone.
There's a large difference between someone claiming to be "naturally submissive" and someone claiming to be "A natural submissive". Having a naturally submissive personality happens. Being A natural submissive is a false claim. Being A submissive is learned behavior. So, yes, someone claiming to be A natural submissive is typically someone claiming some Ultra, Brass Ring, Uber-slubliness.

Not that a submissive doesn't learn behaviors but there are females that are naturally submissive. I personally don't understand the problem with the term. I've seen women that are very meek, less assertive, easier to sway to another's desires. I've seen females that would seem like they suffered if they had to pick what movie they wanted to see versus having you pick it. Because a person doesn't fit those things doesn't make them less of a submissive but it may make them slightly less submissive in *my book*. I don't use the term to look down on someone or demean another. Only as a way to express my own personal interests for a particular female.

Which is exactly what I said.

Having a naturally submissive personality is a reality. Naturally being A submissive is not, as being A submissive is a learned behavior. Hence, everyone that has a submissive personality is not A submissive.

I have a natural understanding with horses and a natural "seat", but I still had to learn how to be an equestrian.

Naturally or natural doesn't make a difference to me..It seems like splitting hairs. If one is a submissive isn't she a natural at it. Being a natural at something means to me that your are predisposed to it in the first place. So although there are behaviors learned over a lifetime..she has that *gene* that drew her in that direction.

OsideGirl -> RE: The natural submissive (11/26/2008 9:19:24 PM)

I'm not naturally submissive. I'm naturally alpha. However, I do recognize when someone is more alpha than I am, and then submit. Which is basically the same through out all of all nature. So, you're assuming that every submissive is naturally submissive and that isn't correct.

Yes I didn't add to what varying degrees. But you are naturally submissive, you just happen to be naturally dominant as well until the point at which you think someone is more dominant than yourself. There are always degrees.

I could swear some of these things are copied directly from submissivewomenspeak.net

The site is down though, since the owner apparently died.

MasterdDx2001 's post history shows 3 posts, all of which are long essays like this one, with no replies afterwards or explanation

The original post was...actually...kind of cheesy.
I was hoping he could define an unnatural submissive to me though.

This was taken from the Slave Protocol Handbook. I forget the author, but it was generally made for the author's M/s relationship.

And although a lot of you are putting the op down without reading the text,  it is Just common sense & knowledge. Being honest about who you are and what you want, communicating your needs etc.

It contains nothing about what a submissive (much less a "true submissive") should be.

The title is misleading, and the book (if youve read it) that this text was taken from does not impose what a sub/slave should be either.

WarKirby - Really? =( I used that site as my main resource when I was moving from online to rl D/s when I was 18... Thats a shame.. it had many enlightening reads for me. I hope that eventually, itll be restarted or updated.
