Great suggestion if the master is willing to be tattooed too!  The tattoos that Mercnbeth say they have (http://www.chinese-word.com/data/0026-7.html) are based on the same idea, and no one who knows the language would misunderstand them.

See, it's possible to have great ideas for Chinese or Japanese tattoos, so I can certainly understand why someone would want one.  The writing is absolutely beautiful, and the calligraphic art has been appreciated in East Asia for millennia.

You know, it would be a lot easier if your dom gets an accompanying tattoo, stating he is the master. You will only get weird looks (in China) with a       奴婢 tattoo, but if your dom has 主公 to go along with it, everyone will be able to guess the implicit meaning.

Thats means master, btw.

The wikipedia article on kajira has several different symbols for slave for you to consider. Chinese symbols literally DEPICT what the word is. Like 'slave' is literally a picture of an 'M' type figure over a "slave woman" or something like that. Don't remember exactly how it was described, but I saw it in the characters when I read the literal meaning.

why not have a Big M with fries and a large coke?

I’ve gone back and forth on the idea of getting a tattoo for a long time and believe I’m finally ready. I know that I want the Chinese symbol for slave but I seem to be having a hard time identifying exactly what symbol that is ….

Is there anyone out there that reads/speaks Chinese that can help me out with this? Or anyone that can point me in the direction of an expert?  I'd try to share what I have found but evidently you cannot post pictures on the forums so here is the link ..... http://www.chinese-symbols.com/s-chinese-symbol-for-slave   Or i have posted the picture in my profile though it may take a few days to get approved.

Thanks for the help!!

My mark was created the day i signed my contract which was written in blood. i was asked to cut myself and so i cut my thumb with a scalpel knife until i drew blood. i wrote a lower case i in red and because the contract had been written on hand made paper it looked like a perfectly printed italic lower case i in bright red pen. it's an easy mark to tatoo.

In reading this thread, I am shocked at the amount of judgment that was passed onto the original poster of the thread!  I thought the bdsm community would be much more supportive of an individuals autonomy and not so quick to judge.  Slaveforsure asked about the correct Chinese symbol for slave.  She did not ask for anyone's opinion about whether or not she should get a tattoo on HER body.  That's not really any of our business, now is it?   Merc-How dare you tell her not to get the tattoo because she's "not ready to be identified with the commitment it represents." Do you even know her?  No, in fact you don't.  So who are you to say that?   And people are asking her about what if she will hypothetically travel to China?  WTF !!  Just because she has to maintain vanilla composure doesn't mean that she is not proud to identify herself as a slave.  She needs to protect her career cannot afford to tell everyone what her tattoo really means.  But, that does not take away from the meaning it represents to her.  Please refer to the original post.  She was not asking people if they liked the idea of her tattoo or not.   This community needs to stop passing judgment on each other...we get enough of that in the vanilla world.

Oh, and poor Aileen.  She's been gagged and I can't see what she said.  I think she's trying to tell the story of how she tried to get "figging whore" tatooed to her body, but they wrote "ginger ass" instead.

Lol...figging is boring.   I'd much rather have piss whore.
