Heres some fun music to get this party started! I'm sure everyone should like this for a dinner party?

I'm going to bring the can of jellied cranberry stuff. I might just be a kiwi, but i KNOW that there has to be can-shaped cranberry stuff for any Thanksgiving to be complete! (love that stuff)

Thanks! I'm weird. I eat that stuff on my turkey instead of gravy.

Who you calling imaginary??? [sm=gaah.gif]

I'm just sitting here, wallowing in my fake, untwueness...  I may even be a figment of my own imagination.  [:o]

Oh dear...

Roselaure -> RE: CM Thanksgiving Dinner Party (11/27/2008 12:17:02 PM)

Well, this is shaping up to be a serious dinner.  In true Midwestern Thanksgiving tradition I'll also whip up a batch of my granny's homemade chicken and noodles, awesome over the mashed potatoes.

After all that food we'll just have enough energy to collapse in a big pile (hmmm...now that could be fun).

kiwisub12 -> RE: CM Thanksgiving Dinner Party (11/27/2008 12:36:05 PM)

I've been thinking - (yeh, i know - dangerous!) - just bringing a can of jelly deliciousness would be a bit cheap - so i am going to bring a pavlova covered in whipped cream and fresh strawberries!  Yummmmmmmmmm.

and yes, inspite of the damn aussis trying to appropriate bragging rights - it was invented in New Zealand.  nanannanh![sm=duel.gif][sm=pillowfight.gif][sm=stickineye.gif]

*slices up some kiwis for the pav, as well*

uh huh, funny, that's not what the aussies say, lol

would that be like the sheepsh***ing thing, too?

calamitysandra -> RE: CM Thanksgiving Dinner Party (11/27/2008 1:06:43 PM)

If you give refuge to a german with no turkeyday tradition, I will make you yummi Käsespätzle, Sauerbraten mit Klößen, Rotkohl und Apfelmus and my Schoko-schoko-schoko Torte. Maybe even a roasted goose to mix in between those turkeys.

After much thought and consideration and seeing this dinner is becoming a united nations feast, I decided to bring a few dishes from my heritage!

English Trifle:
Perogies: 6 varieties
Borscht
Scalloped potatoes
Irish stew
Tortiere

Cabbage Rolls
Naniamo Bars: Irish Cream, mint, regular and Kahlua flavrored
Thanks to our lovely hostess, Luscious, all my Cm friends, family and to good health for us all!
