Definitely the son of a preacher man....the daughter didn't come till MUCH later! (Pun definitely intended)

Status: offline 		In my family, I have 3 uncles who are Pentecostal ministers. Bible belt (grew up in North Dakota) doesn't describe it. My kinkiest dates in high school ... the ministers daughters. God love rebellion.

What to do if your in the Bible Belt

Start your own religion/church or what ever. Have a Priesthood (Dominants) and nuns (both male and female ~ sub/slaves). Only wear monks habits outside and take the crew and go door knocking on Sundays to raise money for your "church/temple/grotto" and of course try to convert all the nubile females of sufficient age to satisfy the law.... Remember a number of religions or sects use floggers for self purification so you can offer to purify all sinners for a fee of course..   Just a thought anyway.. RWL

Status: offline 		Honey, I've lived in just about every state in the "Bible Belt" and what I do is what I want to do.  Then again, I have always been one to use tact and discretion in my intimate dealings so it's never been an issue.  One needn't do everything publicly you know.  When you meet someone you believe you may be compatible with, take her/him home and do your thang.  You don't have to do it in front of a crowd on the courthouse square, therefore, no one else really needs to be involved...................luci

Wow. I have personally seen the Italian (mostly Sicilian symbol of the sun with the triskelion) symbol, but, never equated it with the scene until your post above. Looking up triskelion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triskelion ), I was unaware of the yin-yang-yin BDSM symbolism of the triskelion. Thanks for edifying me.

The first time I saw it, I thought, "Why is someone wearing what appears to be an edited version of the USDOT  logo?"  So really, it's not all that obvious to the vanillia uninitiated.

I didn't realize S. Dakota was considered part of the Bible belt.  But then I didn't know the Bible had a belt. The church I attend, when I do, has absolutely no problems with what you do behind closed doors as long as it is SSC.  I am quite sure the Bible has nothing to say about BDSM either cause hard limits are sort of moral and ethical in themselves ~~ you know,. the no kids and animals part. Lots of poly folk even claim foundations in the Bible. Instead of thinking oh my goodness where.how.when will get my fetish/kink off with the right person.... that is like saying the glass is half full.  Try thinking the glass is half empty !! ?? (However they say that saying)   Besides I know Bible thumpers are pretty prejudiced, hypocritical and do all things they say shouldn't be done. Hell, divorce adultery and fornication are big no-no's "but everyone does it."

Status: offline 		The last time I checked SD had under 800,000 people state wide.  I have been to concerts with more people than that!  It may be difficult to find partners simply because of the numbers.  This has already been said, as well as the following.  Kinky, sexual and naughty people are everywhere and some fill those church benches.  What is harder to find in my opinion is people who are honest about themselves and how they live.  Hide the naughty, hide the bad... never let anyone see it because of some social standing where others who hide maybe something different, will judge you and make life difficult.  Everyone has naughty in them... whether it be what they do in bed... what bed they are in... how they communicate or treat others or how much they eat.

Personally when I decided on where to live, I researched and made sure I wasn't going to an area like SD that wasn't big enough to have a large choice in partners for me.  You want it all, then go out and get it all, but you can't change those hidding naughty people or have much selection in a place where there are fewer naughty people.  You don't have to be a pioneer to seek out new territory or set out to make a dream come true and you don't have to sit holding your family or their roots within your hand.  There is a big bad world out there and no reason to be unhappy.  Don't sit in frustration and not fully live, because at the end of your life, you don't want to be sorry your days have ended... you want to say... what a friggin blast I had while I lived... I am happy, I REALLY lived!

If you can't create it or find it... move on if it means that much to you.  But LIVE!

Everyone gets very wound up. I' found young ladies like to find a way to unwind afterwards.
