Always a nice way to end a year and begin anew---this year found us getting more settled, surviving layoff rumors ( gawd those age Me)---we do not start Yule preparations until the 12th, I am firm believer that the holiday should be a DAY ( or 12 at the most) not a SEASON ( I mean it isn't spring, summer, fall, christmas, winter). But we will with glee, oh and My birthday is the 27th.  ( and I already got My present <wink> ).
 
May you all have the most marvelous of holidays, may you take some of your time and/or money and help those less fortunate to balance your good fortune and may you remember, faith, love and peace should be daily activities, not once a year,

Status: offline 		OK, let's see..I lost the rock, paper, sizzers...so here goes..
 
This will be our first Christmas together and if it is anything like Thanksgiving, we are going to have a great one. We are both alive and kickin'. Thanksgiving was wonderful! Koko prepared the dinner and it was great. My nephew and a friend of ours came over and we played games and watched a movie. We are looking forward to hosting our first munch on the 14th, have made some friends locally and we are basically enjoying life.
 
Not much in the News Department, but in the Humor Department...
 
We have finally found a bar that has some great karaoke that we both can enjoy! Yay! Funny thing, a couple of weeks ago, this big biker dude was singing Purple Rain, and as I walked by him, he reached out and stroked my arm. Couple minutes later, Geoff had to go the restroom, he walked past him, the biker says to Geoff "You ever dance with a drunk biker?"  Geoff just laughed and kept walking. Later, I told him what the biker had done and we both laughed when we realized that this big guy had hit on us both! lmao! Gotta love biker bars! This woman comes up to Geoff (While I was in the bathroom) and she says to him "How drunk are you?" and without blinking Geoff says "I am almost drunk enough to think you are hot!" lmao! Needless to say, we had a good time and will be going back!
 
Happy birthday to all of the December birthday folks! I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and may y'all get whatever is in your hearts. The word for the day is Hope. Spread the word.

Status: offline 		Once someone has me on the phone, I can yak for hours...  and just yesterday I answered the phone to talk to Cali!  It takes a lot for me to actually CALL someone though.  IM, sure!  I am not phone phobic, though.  Which is kind of too bad, if would be such a handy excuse!

Did I mention that I went to a Collarme wedding on Halloween?  Well I DID!  Lady Rainfire and Lumus, over in St Catharines.  Eventually I will get the pics out of my camera, and even put one or two on my profile.  There is a fabulous one of me in my reindeer glasses!  I look like a younger Dame Edna!

Traveling a lot for work (both national and international travel) and getting ready for Dark Odyssey's big New Year's Eve party with friends. And I've had sissy emily collared for a year now -- time flies when you are having fun, right?

I have lost a LOT of weight in the last few months, through changing diet but also exercising.  It's been life altering for me.  I've come out of a shell I went into when my late husband died, which is longer ago than I care to recount.  I've been going to a local Quaker meeting, which so squares with my own world view.  I've been going on dates!!!!

I went out with a very kind, very sweet man a few weeks ago.  He kissed me like a woman he wanted and not someone he wanted something from.  That lays me bare.

Status: offline 		Well, as it has been a strange year for me. I don't post much and haven't really made alot of friends on here.. Here's me, I discovered this side of me this year and that was after a friend showed me this site. It has been wonderful to be free in it with my marriage remaining largely unaffected. I  might be having a Paarticular person by the end of the year and hopefully if will work. It will be my first. I am hoping to have my tree up by the end of next week and have the whole houser straightened out too. I am in better spirits this year than last and Hubby's Job is at least secure even if I can't seem to find one that fits with me. I hope to be in better health next year than in the last and have made plans for that as much as possible. Happy holidays to those on here..

Status: offline 		Christmas shopping in hand. Decorations going up tomorrow. November and December have been pretty standard. Really getting pissed with all the doom and gloom thats in the news and everyone is talking of the despair. I firmly believe that we have to find more positives in life, the world, the economy.

Our business is doing the same as it was this time last year. Come June - September of next year we will be looking to expand.

On a personal note, I again am not dedicating enough alone time to my partner and really, really hope to change this over the holidays.

Status: offline 		been hospitalized twice since the last time i posted here, still having a tough time recovering from the initial surgery on the foot, they still can't tell me if i'll lose it or not.  better the foot than my leg, better my leg than my life!  just finished the third final out of the four i have to take this semester, not looking forward to the final, it's math, algebra to be exact.  i'll never use it in my chosen profession, but i'll have it on the credits.  big deal!  i'm not going to miss 2008, cub and i are both looking forward to a new start with a new year.  better things to come, better health, better finances and the whole nine.  the rugrats are all healthy and doing well, thankfully, so i guess that's the best part.

happy birthday to all you december birthday folks, best wishes for a wonderful year!

Now it is on to the math..... *grumbles*  I will be doing nothing but working, sleeping and math for the next month.

Maybe I'll have time to play with My pet before I pass out!
