Although it may be overwhelming at times and the medical stuff mind bending and though you feel pulled at both ends and drained sometimes, the joy and peace that comes from what you're doing will bring you through. Because there is nothing more dear than to share even those too full days and demands of one we love who has need of us. Through the tears you will find many reasons to laugh, because they do, do some funny things, if we can take the time to look at them that way. The memories you are now creating may seem a nightmare at times, but in all, they do become something dear and sweet day by day.

Thanks to the incredible people at the Hospice agency, and the huge dose of help from the Nurse/Facilitator at the hospital, his home oxy system just arrived a few minutes ago. Along with a portable tank and wheelchair for when he has appointments and such. No more hassles, no more fussing about trying to get the various doctors to cooperate. The hospice agency did his eval up at the hospital, since he's not getting discharged to come home until tomorrow morning (they didn't want to discharge him until they were certain teh system was in place) - and the hospice nurse called their supply company to have delivery made here to the house as soon as she finished his evaluation. It's beginning to pull together much better - and I think there Might even be a bit of a gleam at the end of the tunnel....

I'm very happy things are working out for you. Hospice will take a bit of the weight off of your shoulders and be there to support you.
Kudos to you ! Your Dad is a lucky man to have such a devoted daughter.

I admire you so. What you are doing takes a strentgh of character that is very rare these days. My hat is off to you and I'm sending many prayers for pain-free days and nights, ease and patience for both of you.
