For those of us that are not accustom to those trolling.

What are the things to look for in a profile or communication?

What would you consider authentic?

What would you consider a ruse?

You don't have to give a full outline of what to look for, perhaps a read-between-the-lines cautionary. Don't want anyone that is currently trolling to alter their tell tale signature.

Getting a one sentence and a one word response to questions you have asked is a pretty good sign

Oh yeah... it's a great sign. A short, often misspelled sentence in reply to a long list of questions. One guy did that, he said yes to such and such (I don't remember which question) and no to all the rest. That was his response. So no, apparently he isn't single, he also isn't employed, living alone or financially responsible. He also is not willing to get an STD test, cannot relocate and countless other questions that would have served him much better if he had actually read them and answered them accordingly.
