Forget about dogs and cats.. one of the best animals to catch mice is.. an Egyptian cobra.

However you need to have lightning reflexes as some of them tend to get a little too 'affectionate' towards their owners.

However if you do have lightning reflexes and can play a wind instrument such as a tin whistle or a flute you can probably make lots of money as a snake charmer. Just get yourself a small wicker basket with a lid, stick the cobra inside, get the flute or wind instrument and head off to your local shopping mall. You will attract attention from lots of people, especially as there are very few snake charmers in shopping malls.

And it will take care of the mice.

too funny Poen

The mechanic found a family of meece happily living in my engine a couple of years ago.  I do low km's with my car and it sits around a lot so they were very comfy.

The talk about snakes is freaking me out.  Many years ago when I was backpacking in the US I stayed with a friend of the guy I was dating and he had snakes as pets and we had to share a bedroom with one which lived in an empty fishtank.  For the whole night I would sit huddled in the far corner of the bed, my eyes glued on the tank praying the damn thing wouldn't escape.  I swear it looked at me and smirked!!!!!!!

yes, her dog food sits in the bag we bought it in. I am going to get a mettle can for it monday probably. And as well I am bringing her food and water in here at night and closing the door, so the rodents are not getting a free meal at our expense every night when we go to sleep. And hopefully that will lessen their interest some.

Are you keeping dog food in bags? Put that into a metal garbage can. Put all bagged food into sealed containers, metal or plastic or move spaghetti into empty mayo jars and such. Then pour ammonia over the floor to eliminate the scent of food. If it doesn't smell like food, they shouldn't come by. They weren't eating your clothes, they shredded them to make nests.

But then I'd need a mongoose to handle the cobra. Rikki Ticki Tavi.
