Pirate, I saw you are going through Cider withdrawal. I did an unofficial study in Chicago. What I found was that any tavern that let you bring your dog in had Cider on draft!

News on the Cider front... sighs I could not start it soon enough for it to be ready for the wedding.. so we will have to find an different source for the cider. Sowwy. The dude downstairs wouldnt let me use his brewing equiptment.... and time passed so quickly. Gwyn, Who has to remember to get her batches of mead in shortly too.

Yeah, I was about to say that specialty liquor stores carry imported cider. Also, I do like Woodchuck brand. (no, Phil has NOTHING to do with it!). There's a couple varieties, not the same as the UK stuff, but darn good. My favourite is PEAR cider! Totally THUD worthy!

The Woodchuck we found at the local grocery was the sweeter kind...he prefers the drier version. But we'll see what Total has :)

Sorry about that hun... the landlord has been a bit off of his game here of late. I still have a broken sink, broken tub spigot, and one eye on the stove still doesnt work. he has been slacking.. and dealing with the ultimate shrew dowstairs... his wife. So getting brewing equiptment from his has been impossible. But I am gonna bug the hades out of him this weekend. I want some mead for Oct. and I gotta get bangin on it. sighs no more using a condom for a airlock... Not with an old enough um up and about. LOL Last pregnancy I spent the whole time making mead.. and there were rows of very happy condoms waving in the air over the glass mead jugs. LOL all of my friends were tempted to do power squats in my kitchen. snickers Gwyn

No, actually all four lights were red; something that is not covered in the User's Guide. A call to the service provider and the modem's working fine now. Apparently some work they were doing somewhere triggered the modem into "service mode." In reality, I think it's a conspiracy of some sort and those behind it are trying to get me... but I'm not paranoid or anything. :-D
