Are you an audiophile? Do the sounds associated with a scene stimulate or arouse you? Do grunts, moans, sighs, a frantic plea get you going? How important are these noises when interacting with your sub? To me they are very important. I might even put them above visual and physical. The sounds of her authoritative voice issuing commands, demands, and instructions. Her spoken affirmations of her Dominance and my submission. Certain words are key and hearing her speak them forcefully or mockingly is like a mini orgasm, for lack of a better explanation. BITCH, WHORE, CUNT, FUCK, SLUT and phrases containing these words really stimulate me and raise the level of the intensity of our interaction. In short I really need for the Domme to be verbally expressive. It may seem redundant during our play but I NEED to hear them again and again. It really puts me in subspace. Does it do the same for you as a Domme?

Those'd work, though not as powerfully for me. (Apart from "cunt": I think I'd have a sort of unwanted intellectual rebellion against "cunt" - a voice would start arguing "but a man just can't be a cunt. It's inaccurate!" ) But also, diminutives: "boy", "puppy" and so on.

Mistress and I are very engaged by each others voices and sounds. Mine are essentially a gauge for her to calibrate by and hers feed and fan my arousal and raise my tolerances. Plus she just likes to hear me make weird noises. We cannot sit next to each other alone for more than a few minutes without me being poked or tickled or bitten to illicit odd warbles and coos. It's awesome.

My pet had a lovely singing voice, but we saved that for karaoke. There are better sounds to be had when the floggers fall.

I think that's why it works, Peon. Being called a cunt and turned into one or being used as one. I like the puppy, puppy, puppy and dog works too, but rat, maggot, and scum don't. They create a negative response. The sound of high heels clicking on a hard wood floor is great. The sound of her heavy breathing, her grunts, her moans....just toooooo much. The thud of a paddle striking bare flesh...........mmmmm....so good.

"rat" would make me think of James Cagney and "maggot" would sound a bit silly to me. "Scum" works, though. These things are very area-specific, though. What's going to work for you in Houston, USA, isn't automatically going to work in SW England.

I truly despise the word "cunt". I am not big on the name calling, but I am always talking, making sounds, and eliciting same. How tedious it would be if my playmate never made any sounds! Even those changes in breathing are exciting... Another reason why I prefer to not have loud music (or any) when I play.

I think I'd actually amplify what I felt deliberately. Not just to communicate with the domina (per Aidan's point) but to help amplify the feelings too. But the best sounds are going to come from her exertions. No contest. [;)]

Hmmmmm.... love to hear those little noises coming from my boy. Let's me know I'm doing a good job. Can't imagine why anyone would want to gag a toy.
