I think it depends on the ability to handle beatings and your own pain threshole. It varies with each of us. It is very important to have some aftercare after each session and make your body feel ok again. If you are marked/bruised and then have more intense play before healing you could really damage your body especially in sensitive areas like breasts.

If you are in sore or in pain, maybe it will be best to ask your dom for a break and not play as heavily each time, unless you are into pain a lot, but still, being safe should be a high priority.
