In my last qualification in germany I was having two cats which were both nuts. I had to do lots of typing and when i wasnt happy with the result i crashed it together and threw it in the bin...my cat caesar had the habbit to take it out again...he kept enjoying to pick it up and put it down on the floor (he picked it up when it was up somewhere where he had to get it and also when it ended up into something, like the bin..then he picked it out. if it felt on the floor it was from no interest).

My cat cleopatra had the habbit sleep in most places. my studioflat was surrounded by 14 more studioflats and i was often told that she almost caused heart attacks when others woke up an she was lieing on their bed...

once a staff member from a different house told me that their trainee woke up once and discovered a cat between her legs...I had to pull myself together hard to play madam innocent as that was for sure my cat...she also discovered at some point where i am working (as it was a childrens home I sometimes had sleep-in shifts) and started to visit me there and spent some nights then in the office with me. She was nuts...sadly she seems to have died on broken heart as she died just 4 days after caesar died on leukemia or HIV (dont remember which one it was as most of our cats has had the one or the other).

they were fun...she was also a horrific hunter, all the time our hall ways were covered with half mice, she was really a busy one...

now here I have 3 cats and one of them i took on last year as he was homeless at one of my workplaces...a few weeks ago I was working on my laptop and could see from the side of my eye that he was dragging something and already a bit nervous what this is as it is obviously big...then it was a bird similar to a pidgeon but a bit bigger. so the size of a crow...never thought they would hunt such big birds...well, it was nice that he wanted to thank me that much for giving him a home *lol* but it wasnt that great to get this bird up from my lounge floor...he didn't quite grasp my request to take it out again!!!

Now I hope my cats will manage our move to canada next year which seems to happen...am just a bit nervous that it will lead again to an outbreak from hiv or leukaemia as it happened in the past with a cat when i took her with me when my parents went on holiday...

I had a male rabbit that fell in love with a soccer ball that was about twice his size. He would spend hours each day climbing up on the ball starting to mount and then trust. The moment he trust he would fall off roll over and look indignant then try again. Everyonce and a while he would get a perfect balance and go at it. (Rabbits are amazing!) Then when he climaxed he would stiffen and faint once again falling off the soccer ball.

We tried hiding it from him but he got really aggressive without it. We eventually had to neuter him. When we went to the vet to pick him up after his overnight stay he took one look at us and turned his butt to us. He was ticked. He would not look at us for nearly a week!

My sister had a guinea pig named Patches...she had pretty much full run of the house...and she was spoiled ROTTEN!  Salads were an every night part of the meals, and we'd keep the leftovers from the veggies to give to her as treats.  Part of hte chores included giving Patches her treats when we got home from school.  Well, at one point, she learned that if she said "no" when my mom asked her if she'd gotten them, that Mom, sucker that she is, would give her MORE!  And she would LIIIIIIEEEEEE on us!  To prove it one day, I gave Patches some lettuce, she's got a mouthful of it, and then Mom asked her if she'd gotten her treats today....she hollered "NO!" with her mouth full!

We had Saints when we grew up...and I had a rabbit.....when I'd clean out his cage, I'd let him loose in the garage, but he'd always manage to get under my dad's workbench...so one day, I put him in the pen with one of our Saints.  When I was done cleaning the cage, I went out to retrieve him.....and Buffy and Babbit were running around the pen chasing each other!  Buffy would do that ski-slope thing, Babbit would jump around her, and off they'd go!  We'd get a few calls from the neighbors about the dog trying to "kill" a smaller animal in the yard.....it was only the two of them playing...once everyone got used to it, they thought it was great!  And when they were both loose in the yard, which was about an acre of land, they would literally run til they dropped!  And when it was time to come in, all you had to do was call them, and they'd both come racing up to you.  They had more fun!

Too funny. My cats are named Ceasar and Cleopatra also. Seems to be a "german" thing.

Something that really made you laugh..

Pookie was a female cat.  Pookie was my x wife's  protector.  I was very oral; my x was receiving.  She was moaning.  All of a sudden the x jumped and when I looked up the cat was perched on a pillow  staring down at the x like a vulture and every time my x wife made a sound Pookie would drag her paw across the x's forehead from eye to eye.  It was very apparent that the cat was trying to console the x.  Every so often the cat would lookup and glare at me.  We had a great time  writing Pookie's dialogue. eg.  "Moma, he had better stop hurting you or I will bite him. Please don't cry."  We had Pookie for 18 years and she only bit me once----on the inner thigh---about four inches from a very sensitive area---during sex.  Talk about causing performance anxiety.

Not funny but interesting: One of my cat hating dogs, watched my kitten-cat ( she was so young I didnt even think about having her neutered) deliver her kittens and helped her by biting off the sack they were delivered in. Kitten-cat (nor me) hadnt a clue so she saved their lives.

I broke my foot in an accident and same dog lay curled at my foot while it repaired (preventing any visiting human or any of my other pets from stepping on it).

Funny thing she did was learn how to bring in fuel. Every evening in the winter months I would go out to fuel shed to bring in timber / turf to burn on fire. After a couple of weeks of watching she would bring out bucket to the shed and fill with her mouth and leave them ready for me to carry in.

I miss her!

Well Ko has a new trick, that he pulled today. He has always been very good at letting me know when he needs food in his bowl or wants to go out, but today he showed me just how smart he is.

He let me know that he needed out, by butting my hand, his usual method. We walked over to the back door, but I was also talking to Master at the time and didn't open it immediately. He butted the hand again and when I didn't grab the knob, picked UP my hand and put it on the door knob then made his moan that sounds just like the word OOOOUT twice. So hard to resist such a plea when he is willing to do half the work.

I had grilled a couple of steaks and my brother and I were eating them on the back porch when my cat decided to join us for dinner -- she even brought her own mouse.

Wow, which one?

I have one cat that plays fetch with glow sticks, shoelaces, hair ties and milk rings.  That's pretty hilarious. :)

From the physical humor department:

We were fostering a quartet of parking-lot kittenses, and watching them romp in the spare bedroom. These are all little guys, still kinda scruffy, about two pounds apiece. Energetic.

So one of them is snacking from a food dish in the middle of the room, two of them are looking around in the pet carrier to see if anything new and exciting has appeared, and a fourth is in the corner. The one in the corner suddenly races across the room, full-tilt, and absolutely torpedoes the one trying to eat. BOOM! The momentum carries both of them into the side of the carrier, ass-over-teakettle, scattering food halfway across the room. The two in the carrier take off in opposite directions like they were shot out of a cannon. Total mayhem. But seeing the one blindside her brother like that... it was just hysterical!

I take it you mean the four legged kind.

I have a cat, who as a kitten, was a real little scoundrel.  Poor thing had gotten himself lost and was a real mess when My husband took him in.  You could tell he was used to fending for himself.  Skinny from trying to find his own food and such.

Anyway, as he started to get stronger, he would rip around the house like he was a real terror.  That's how he got the name Demon.

Still not quite used to the idea that he had a home and a steady food supply, one day, he decided he was going to jump up to the table and steal himself a prize.  A long bratwurst.  Knowing he wasn't allowed on the table, jumped down and started running with the end of it in his mouth.  So here was this scrappy, skinny, small kitten running through the house, with a sausage almost as big as he was bouncing along, one end in his teeth and the rest  along side him because he was too little to carry it.

I had kittens when I was younger.  When they werent hiding in the couch, or being lugged around by Mama Kit from one room, to wherever we were in the house, they were playing by the sliding glass door.  We had those long hanging blinds on it.  A couple kittens would get on the blinds and climb, while the others would lay beneath it and bat it back and forth.

Mama Kit would also bring them all up into the bed with me at night, and the kittens would chase and claw my feet through the sheets as I slept at night.

My moms dog Dora has this cute little quirk where she will walk to the kitchen, get a mouth full of kibble, waddle back to the living room by Mama's chair, drop the kibble and eat it piece by piece.  This is repeated till she is full.  She also has a thing for gum.  Cant figure out how, or why, but if you drop a piece of gum outside, she brings it inside to chew on.  Same thing goes for fireballs, though she licks those, then barks at them for burning her mouth.  Dora also loves getting into the mesh clothes basket.  For the longest time, I would go over to Mama's house to pick some stuff up, or drop something off while she wasnt there, and I would find the dog in the bathroom hamper whining cuz she cant get out, bless her heart!

My older dog Britches would get me to take him out for walks.  Down the drive way we go, till we get to the mail box.  He'd growl, snarl, and kick rocks at the mail box, and then hed head butt it.  Sometimes he would chew on the post instead.  Ugh, I miss him, but not replacing the mailbox post every so often...

I just remembered this one. When we had sled dogs in Alaska. They would get all excited when my dad pulled out the sled - howling and jumping and begging to get to be part of the teams. Well one day my dad was leading the lead dog to the sled when the dog lunged forward pulling my dad off ballance. Then the dog stood on it's hind legs like a bear and put it forpaws on my dads lower back. The dog started pushing my dad toward the sled while standing on it's hind legs.
After that it always pushed my dad to the sled.

I have small rawhide chewing sticks that are usually sold for dogs to keep my toes and fingers from being chomped on during the night.

Two things:

My stinker kitty is an indoor cat who wants to be an outdoor cat.  So I bought him a shoulder harness to fasten a leash to, so I could safely take him out on my patio with me.  He froze in place and staired at me, then meowed, then proceeded to walk backwards to try to get out of it.

Just the other day I was changing the bedding.  As I flung the fitted sheet onto the mattress, he dove under it and stayed there, so I thought - why not - and continued making the bed, trapping him in the fitted sheet for fun.  He rolled over onto his back and put his paws straight up in the air.  I could see this perfect imprint of paws sticking up from the sheet.  And then he tried to walk...very slowly.  It was hilarious to see!

He must have thought it was fun because he wants to jump under the covers all the time now.

Does that work???  Viktor chews on everything!  And at night I think he thinks my big toe is a mouse because he attacks it.  Hell of a way to wake up!!

Yes, it helps quite a bit.  The stalking feet under the blanket routine gets old real quick! I leave the chew sticks on the pet blanket at the foot of the bed and by the scratching post.  The really hard or tough raw hide roll-up types don't seem to suit his highness' fancy.  What he prefers are the flat rawhide chews which are small enough for a cat and come in a few different flavors.
