So I have come to understand that, as a submissive, I am very fortunate. My Lady has her own playroom - a very nice basement with a hoist, spanking bench, cross, bed, dressing area, music, and killer red and black decor...and a large assortment of tools to bring out the delight, the squirm, the cry, and the ecstasy in anyone. From what I have read, her setup is a bit rare? Clearly not everyone can have/afford such a space dedicated solely to BDSM. So I am wondering what sort of play spaces the other Mistresses here at CM have? As an artist, I have found that as we become passionate about something, we want to give it not only space in our lives, but also in our homes. Tell us about your space for play, your equipment, your toys, and what delights you about it! [:)]

LOL Otters! Truly, how many of us have playrooms? A good friend of mine does have one room in her basement set up as a playroom, and it IS fun, but if I had the choice for myself, I would get another massage table, reinforce some attachment points on walls and ceilings, and pervert normal furniture. For me, it's way more fun!

I will someday <sigh> My problem is not that I don't have the toys, I need lots of light to see, and a basement wouldn't work for me. How sexy is it to have blaring lights while doing a sexy scene? But of course, the lights are cool for an interrogation scene! <eg> ETA: My bed has been perverted <s> I have handcuffs dangling everywhere lol never can be sure where you may need them!

Blindfold them, and the lights are no longer an issue!! Funniest thing EVAR was at one of the Chicago parties, this guy had a miner's helmet with the light on the front, and Mercury wings on the helmet! It was perfect for those ill-lit dungeons when you want to SEE what you are doing. [:D]

Lol! Well I didnt respond first time I looked in because I didnt feel I had anything to contribute. We dont have a special playroom. We dont for a number of reasons. First: our um Second: we get a lot of family and friends come to visit and a "room you cant view" would get to many questions Third: We dont live in a mansion (its a 4 bed semi) so I would rather use a spare room for home office / library What we do have is a locked closet (which we refer to in Ireland as a press!) where we keep all our toys and naughty things and they are brought out to play in different rooms when we play. I also have to add that I dont think I could ever have a dedicated dungeon in my house. The reason for this is I am very entreprenurial, and I know I just would not be able to pass at turning it into some sort of business. And thats a road I do not want to go down! Hope you get lots of replies SnS

The easiest transformable vanilla house you can imagine--ok except for the chains under the legs of My bed.

Actually if you want to keep the atmosphere of the dungeon but enough light so that you may see. It can be easily solved by taking a lamp and placing a concave disc affixed to the lamp so that the light is softened and eliminates direct light. Keeping the atmosphere within the room becomes easier to maintain with such inexpensive method. You can add more until you can see comfortably. If a mistress wanted a playroom and had the space for it, as long as girl had the tools and materials, girl would build it. Though girl would be much more inclined to build infernal contraptions created to be used on me. [:D][:D][:D]

We had a playroom in the old house...and even though we've moved to a bigger house we don't have one now. Mostly because we can't keep the UM's out of it and vising family. Our bedroom can go from vanilla to kinky in 15 mins...the four poster bed always has rope on it to snap cuffs to. We've had screw eyes in the walls before...and the toys live in a lovely wooden chest that everyone thinks is a blanket box at the foot of the bed... When all the UM's go to college...I'm sure we will have a dedicated place again... We also have 28 acres to play in...so lots of outdoor play!!

I hope someday but right now I have no place space at all. I also don't have the room at the moment, considering that I need to get rid of things as it is, way way too much stuff. For me it's a someday goal, I'm thinking frist house before an ums show up.

Ever thought of building bunker/dungeon out in that field. Girl is sure she could draw up some plans. [:D] Maybe even a cost sheet, could even provide you with online instruction while you build it.[:D]

I have a large, mostly unused basement, but it tends to flood during prolonged 'soaking' rains. We've lost an awful lot of stuff because of that. Moldy leather toys aren't good. We do have a storage house with a large attic room that has been used a couple of times for play. I just need to get a couple of slaves up there to help me do some conversions... after the holidays. One of my dear boys has been 'cleaning out' some of his equipment and sending it my way. He has already given me a set of grav-boots and I should have a f***ing machine on it's way. Now I just need some suspention bars installed and someone to haul that 61 pound box up the narrow stairs and asymbol the machine for me. Hubby & I used to run a haunted house, so we have lots of things that were built for that, but are easily converted for BDSM. Such as, I have a set of standing stocks... although they aren't actually strong enough to hold anyone who really wants out, but that could be easily reinforced. We have an 'electric chair' with wrist and ankle restraints that has a multitude of uses. Naturally, most of my restraints, whips, floggers, canes, chains, the dog cage, etc. are always dismissed as "Haunt Props" if anyone sees them.

I don't have one in the house, due to the fact that the last fledgling hasn't left the nest just yet. Believe Me, it is certainly in the works. For now, the computer room doubles as the toy room. When My head isn't quite so spacey, (CAP was fantastic) I'll be happy to talk about toys all day long with you. Until then, I'm taking My tired feet and My big smile off to bed.

My favourite piece of furniture in my pal Jadebeauti's dungeon is this purple velvet chair shaped like a high heeled shoe! I WANT ONE!!! It is perfect for otk, foot worship, and just leaning back!

There is an inexpensive way to seal your basement from the inside if you are interested. The expense can be kept low so long as it is unfinished and the materials are available in your area. If it were current mistress' had a basement, you bet that girl would be out there digging around the foundation to the footings and checking your weeping tile. It's probably 0-ring which has collapsed and drainage isn't happening and should be replaced by perforated pipes. You might also want to think about think about another possibility of breaking open the floor and digging a small sump well with a flood-control pump. There are so many things that could be done to insure that your basement remains dry for the use of a playroom or dungeon.

We don't have a 'dungeon' - we have the master bedroom ... it has all the toys in it, and cables attached to the legs of the bed as attachment points. That's all we need. It would be nice to have a well-furnished dungeon once in awhile, but it obviously isn't required. We have no problems setting the mood that we want without one.

The back-up operates off a deep-cycle marine battery that is trickle-charged by the power outlet. If the power fails, the sump pump can run off the battery for several days until power is restored.

I am fortunate to have my very own playspace away from my home, two rooms with alot of equipment I have invested in over the years. It was important to me to create and atmosphere, so blood red walls, white ceilings with black accents, so red white and black. Painted black natural wooden floor boards which only need a coat of paint every three months, and my heels sound wonderful walking on it [:D]. Mirrors, candles, lamps, and I decided not to have any wall art, much prefer my implements, and kit hanged and displayed, for easy reach. I adore my little lair, and love spending time there 5 - 6 days a week, if only the walls could talk lol. I have a new piece of kit arriving in the new year, a Fetters, leather dentists chair, it even has electric controls for up and down, reclining motion, just like a dentists chair, but all in delicious leather, and really secure body restraints.
