LaMistressa -> RE: Playrooms! (12/14/2008 10:48:34 AM)

I'm in a one bedroom apartment so no separate play space for me, but my place can be converted into a play area in about 15 minutes. A lot of my friends do have dungeons and play spaces in their houses and they host a fair amount of parties, so it's all good.

DominaSusan -> RE: Playrooms! (12/14/2008 6:35:51 PM)

My basement is a convertible-TV and kid play room and bar for the vanilla world and then dungeon for evening playtime. We have eyelets in the crossbeams and methods to hide all the toys. It’s a great space when you have to live in two worlds. I’m working on getting furniture that can span both the BDSM and the vanilla world, like bar stools that can double as spanking stools. I am envious of your Mistresses dungeon. Lucky you.

Aszhrae -> RE: Playrooms! (12/14/2008 10:19:49 PM)

The dentist that mistress sends me to see has a relatively comfortable chair that every time girl is reclined, girl falls asleep. Dentist became smart and now blocks girl's mouth open and just lets me slip through the cleaning and whatever else. When mistress paid for girl's caps, slept through the entire process.

Girl might be tempted to fall asleep in your dentist chair MistressRouge.

MsStarlett -> RE: Playrooms! (12/15/2008 5:21:54 AM)

I have a dentist chair.  Darned thing weighs a TON!  Can't move the darned thing without a dolly and 2-3 strong men.

Asz, you do far better than I.  I detest dentists!  When I had my bridge put in, it was a major endeavor.   I broke my jaw in three places when I was only 16 years old.  I've had trouble with the teeth over the breaks ever since.  My prior dentist did nothing to help the very bad problems I was having in the front where the bone was never set properly.  Over the years, three of those teeth died.  My current dentist had to grind down 3 good teeth on the sides and fit me with a 6 tooth bridge all the way across the lower front.  (It looks REALLY GOOD!)  While I was totally numbed up and high on gas, I STILL had a full blown panic attack.

i wish i had a very stately home so when you walk in you think i would be rather snobbish with all the bookcases and such..you know something boorish like stately "Wayne Manor".But then you pull on a torch holder or press a hidden button on a bookshelf and voila!!!Instant trappings...and trappings would be the operative word...gosh that would be hilarious really...lol.

OttersSwim -> RE: Playrooms! (12/15/2008 8:00:58 AM)

Thanks to all for the replies.  It is totally true that a bedroom can be totally all that is needed to blow someone's mind!  We have a friend who has eye bolt attachments on his mantle and in the center of his living room floor.  The eye bolts remove and can be screwed in for play in about 5 minutes - you cannot tell they are even there unless told - the perfect vanilla solution!

Last night Milady and I put twinkle lights and billowed and draped fabric up in the cubby where the futon sits.  It looks awesome!  Like a Sultanna's tent (is that a word? Sultanna?  Lady Sultan?  Not the cracker!)  We spent the night down there.  [:)]

allthatjaz -> RE: Playrooms! (12/15/2008 9:12:30 AM)

We have a large basement and until recently had a full medical room. We decided to demolish it to make more room for an open den but have incorperated the medical stuff into the main dungeon.

Our dungeon is very ambient with soft lighting ( interrogation lights in place). We have a bespoke torture wall that has all sorts of uses, a spanking bench, stand up cage, whipping bench and shelves of toys of all nature. We have just incorporated an electric winch into the chill out area and we are buying ourselves a swing after Xmas. We also have a bedroom and shower area and to be honest we use this for play a lot more than we do the dungeon!

Aszhrae -> RE: Playrooms! (12/15/2008 5:15:14 PM)

Every domme just teases girl so.
Almost tempted to go to the body piercers and have a string of them done. Current mistress would say 'no' and lock girl in my room.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Playrooms! (12/15/2008 6:41:45 PM)

Daddy and I have a running fantasy of a huge house*o k it's really mostly MY fantasy , so far it's a 7 bedroom house on many, many, many acres. I never thought to include a room for bdsm use, I guess that makes the house an 8 bedroom house lol.

Lol! Well I didnt respond first time I looked in because I didnt feel I had anything to contribute. We dont have a special playroom. We dont for a number of reasons.

First: our um
Second: we get a lot of family and friends come to visit and a "room you cant view" would get to many questions
Third: We dont live in a mansion (its a 4 bed semi) so I would rather use a spare room for home office / library

What we do have is a locked closet (which we refer to in Ireland as a press!) where we keep all our toys and naughty things and they are brought out to play in different rooms when we play.

I also have to add that I dont think I could ever have a dedicated dungeon in my house. The reason for this is I am very entreprenurial, and I know I just would not be able to pass at turning it into some sort of business. And thats a road I do not want to go down!

Hope you get lots of replies

SnS

Seriously,
If my mistress had the resources and allowed me to just go crazy.
Girl would build the pin-press.

= two tight fitting frames made of metal quills, one for the back and the front, a small crank at the base would bring the panels close together, as they drew nearer, the tiny touch like needles would touch the skin just lightly, eventually the pins would contour to the body within and all mistress would have to do is touch a group of quills or singly with a tantalizing piercing sensation without actually piercing the skin.

= next would be the alien crucifix that had a locking mechanism so that it could be rotated like a spinning wheel or another lock that could have it tilted from 5-90 (table top), bottom and top extensions on hinges so the arm and legs can be cranked wider or brought in.

Girl would build these for mistress if girl was able to.

See what happens when you tease.

=

Thankyou [:)]
There are UK BDSM furniture companies, that make bespoke "vanilla furniture", which converts nicely to BDSM furniture. A great way to hide if anyone visits lol

Is this what you were referring to? I remembered seeing it, and took a while to look it up and hope this was it. Enjoy!

Hey Needs!  You help me get my basement squared away and I'll let you 'test' all my new equipment that I install. [:)]

LadyPact -> RE: Playrooms! (12/20/2008 12:03:56 AM)

There's a very good thread on the main board where Resident Sadist was good enough to provide links to photos of his dungeon.  Honestly, that is all I would really need.  It wouldn't take much to convert the bedroom across the hall from ours into such a space.  As soon as I showed hubby the pictures, he just said, "yes, I know you want that."  LOL.

MaamJay -> RE: Playrooms! (12/20/2008 12:57:02 AM)

I had a lovely Dungeon in Perth - big carpeted and air conditioned open space with room for a cross, spanking stool, bondage bed, school desk and chair, clothes rack, home gym (that could be used so wickedly!), hog-tie double mattress on the floor, grope cupboard, chests of drawers for storage, a rowing bench also used as a spanking bench, and a medieval rack! Black, red and purple colour scheme, walls covered with purple curtains. Fluorescent ceiling lighting was muted by wrapping the tubes in coloured gels in red, blue and purple, and only including tubes over each main item of equipment where the Dominant would need to see clearly. Had a chillout area of seating within the play space. Also had a separate supper room seating 8 around a table, a kitchen, an outdoor smoking area, a toilet, and a toilet and shower for wet play. Music available from another part of the shed. It was perfect for hosting parties and We thoroughly enjoyed doing so. For private play there was also access to a bedroom with a king-sized bed. All set on 5 acres of bush so plenty of outdoor play. And the house had an enclosed patio and pool so could skinny dip, suspend from rafters and play all without mossies! Ahhh it was heaven!!

Sadly had to sell that house when We moved state, now have a small play space in the shed ... soon to lose that when We hit the road in a 5th wheeler!! Will just have to rely on things We find ... such as lookouts, picnic tables etc! And the cross etc will just go into storage and await its day to come again.

While that would be wonderful...  Just being able to help you is more that enough reward for me.  But thank you VERY much for the thought[:D]

DavanKael -> RE: Playrooms! (12/22/2008 6:58:10 PM)

I'm actually in the process of converting my ex-'s old 'office' (gaming room) into a play room (Which is particularly amusing to me as he is so very vanilla).  I want a rather lush Eastern feel to the space and intend red and black saris to drape the walls, have some awesome accessories, etc. and as core pieces of furniture, a massage table and a newly acquired (And yet to be wood-burned and stained as I wish) St. Andrews Cross.  My friends all know I'm a perv (lol!), so if they get shocked by something, I'd be rather shocked.  I figure that the Cross (Which just arrived today) is able to be dis-assembled if need-be or could be folded down and tucked somewhere more discreet if my god-ums are around.  Oh, and I have hammock swings that are suspended from structural beams in a different part of the basement; the hardware for which could be used for more 'adult' purposes as well. And, of course, the bedroom has other options.

DelilahDeb -> RE: Playrooms! (12/23/2008 12:04:59 AM)

Converted garage that will convert back if/when I sell house (or my heirs). Garage door insulated with glue-and-foam and layers of exterior plywood outside and 1/4 ply inside, plus silvered mylar and yards of purple corduroy drape over it. Draft-tight. More recycled silvered mylar sunfilm coating one wall (the wall with the major row of eyebolts up and down). Black area rug, home-built chunky massage table (free acquisition for the hauling, I added fresh layer of used 2-inch foam and cheap black vinyl with trusty 5/8 inch staple gun, purple sheers draping from the overhead storage cupboards (and covering up three storage containers of tools and hardware). One 6-foot long sturdy and beautiful oak bench that gets covered when played on, and a 19th century steamer trunk and 1933 steel/brass Amelia Earhart design trunk that double as seating and spanking benches. (as well as storing more family stuff.)

A roofed concrete patio that can be privacy shielded with a couple of tarps at the sides and has extensive view that's my property (I plan a screened summer sleeping porch out there, with wood stove for spring/autumn evenings) allows me to host fire play, as the garage is low of ceiling. I won't go into the toy collection because it begins to sound like bragging. (Received a long-coveted Yule gift for fabulous play, wheeee.)
