Status: offline 		I myself am not much of a reader. Though Im starting to turn that around. What are some of your favorite books. I am currently reading "Back to Eden" By Gethro Kloss.

Anything in the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

I read threads here because I learn from those who have knowledge and would teach.

Status: offline 		Under the name Kerry Arthur, Sherrilyn has a series of books about a half vampire, half werewolf based in Melbourne AU.  I loved it and yes, it is completely smutty!

Status: offline 		Of the recent discoveries, I would say that the "Dresden Files" series by Jim Butcher is my favourite. His second series "Codex Alera" is quite good as well.

Also, the second go-round in the "Kushiel" series by Jacqueline Carey is complete and worth a read.

"Artemis Fowl" as well as the "Bartimäeus" trilogy are nice as well.

An old love I like to pick up again to re-read from time to time is the Eddings classic "Belgariad", the follow up "Malloreon", the add ons "Belgarath the Sorcerer" and "Polgara the sorceress". Eddings second circle, the "Elenium" and the "Tamuli" belong to my most cherished books as well.

And one out there suggestion that I like very much would be "The Peace War" by Vernor Vinge.

Now I hope that the "Temperance Brennan" novels by Cathy Reichs, and the "Inspector Linley Mysteries" by Elizabeth George (I know, everybody has read those already) are a good read, as the Christkindchen is bringing me both series.

Status: offline 		My last good read I'm still reading. I just finished the 2nd book and as soon as my daughter is done with the 3rd, I'm on it. It's a fantasy trilogy by a new writer named Brent Weeks called the Night Angel Trilogy. It's one of the best series I've ever read.

Prior to that I was rereading George RR Martins series to remind myself of the storyline so I won't be lost when the 4th book in that series comes out. Another great fantasy series.

Status: offline 		You're welcome Sam4training. If you like that material, I also highly recommend J.R. Ward, she's fairly new but already a best seller. And Nina Bangs, she can be hit or miss though sometimes.

Status: offline 		One of the best books I have ever read was David Nivens Bring on the Empty Horses, a must for anyone loving the golden age of hollywood. I would also recomend High Fidelity by Nick Hornby to pretty much anyone.

Status: offline 		Let's see... lately I've been on a Michael Moorcock binge, reading some of his "Elric" books, and the three about Ossie Bastable, the "temporal castaway."

In non-fiction, a book called "Death From the Skies" written by a guy I know from Colorado, and astronomer named Phil Plait. The book is about the various ways that the Earth could be snuffed out by various astronomical phenomena.

I've also been reading "Your Rugged Constitution" which is a primer on the US Constitution, by Bruce and Esther Findlay. Just as a reminder of how badly this malignant little weasel and his cronies have fucked up the definition of what being an American is.

Status: offline 		Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean Auel. Read it when I was a teen and still lose myself in it at least once a year. Nice hint of D/s to it.

J. R. Ward's Lover series is also good supernatural smut.

Beyond that the Stephanie Plum Bounty Hunter novels. All fun to read.

And Brsinger, book 3 in the Eragon series.

Status: offline 		Definitely the Stephanie Plum series...........and waiting ever so patiently (NOT) for 14 to come out in paperback - total comedy with a ton of sex appeal........but for pure raw sex appeal.........the Dark Hunter series rocks...read one of those and you are screaming Bite Me...(laughs).

Status: offline 		Christine Feehan's Carpathian novels also fit the description of supernatural smut. Although they're a little more romantic than smutty.

I don't know the Dark Hunter books though, need to try them.
