GrayWolf48 -> Virtual On-Line "Lifestyle" Wolds? (12/22/2008 6:44:26 AM)

Greetings!

I'm only now getting started with figuring out Second Life. Someone has turned me on to it, and I'm finding it a fascinating concept. And I'm VERY new to it! I was wondering if there are BDSM Lifestyle private regions, or if there is some other Lifestyle specific virtual wold on-line somewhere?

I am beginning a long distance relationship with someone very special, and it seems this sort of thing could help us deal with the long distance issues.

Anyone know anything about any of this?

We mess about in Second Life and have got to know a few people on a more personal level. For a lot of people it IS their entire D/s/bdsm world.

We look at it like a glorified chatroom where we waste a bit of time. It's too much of a stretch to get into virtual pain though, for us.  All the same , we find it amusing.

We know of a couple that are in the US and UK respectively and spend a lot of time together in SecondLife. It's part of their means and ways but not entirely, as they also use the phone and snail-mail etc.

It's an aquired taste and a time-consuming way of interacting frankly, but it seems to give many people a lot of pleasure. Everyone looks as hot as hell in a cartoon kind of way, which adds to the erotic for lots of folk....lol

No where is this more true than Second Life and World of Warcraft

If you use it to interact with someone you physically know, it can be a wonderful tool to stay in touch and feel connected.

But that smokin' hot chick coming on to you that you don't know IRL...is probably me...  [;)]

Pft... there are no girls on the internets Otter

IronBear -> RE: Virtual On-Line "Lifestyle" Wolds? (12/22/2008 9:38:38 AM)

Ok I'll ask the dumb question:

What is Second Life? I prefer the original AD&D such as Pool of Radiance, Ciurse of theAzure Bonds  etc and find it enough or C&C or Dune enough for my poor lil brain cell (sometimes ther are two of them and that makes me dangerous)

i'm a girl. i'm on the internets. i have been on the internets for a ridiculously long time for someone of my age.
i used to play as a girl in some mmorpgs, but i got bored with it. we do exist. it's like the guys who used to pretend to be blonde, 18 year old bisexual horny cheerleaders in irc or the people who pretend to be girls for photo swap on collarme... if you pay attention and use your common sense instead of just hoping you finally got your improbable wish very easily, then you can usually tell the girls from the boys.

Half the people using it are confused..I can't get into the virtual world myself, in any way that makes it *matter* ...but M and I find it silly fun now and then.

Cool, I don't feel so alone now!!

I did teleport to one world that I KNOW was bdsm related though. You could just tell by the activities and sounds. lol

Second life is a virtual world and different sims have different themes. There are vanilla areas, BDSM, Beauty, gorean etc etc. You can buy land and set up your own house complete with a dungeon or you can rent a place. It is free to play BUT you either have to get a job in the game to make money or spend real money on lindens (the currency).

My sub and I played it for awhile and it was fun but you can only shop, club or go to the dungeon so much before it gets boring.

Have fun,
~Lashra

It was in NWN social server that I met Anne, a girl to a mistress in Bergen, Norway. She told me about CM back in March '08.
There are women on the internet Lynnxz. There are just very few of them is all. You can also tell by how they communicate their actions. Which is something you learn over time.

ShiftedJewel -> RE: Virtual On-Line "Lifestyle" Wolds? (12/22/2008 1:34:14 PM)

Lashra... I don't want a job!! Geeze.. I'm terribly opposed to working. And I don't know if it would hold my interest long enough to spend any real money on it.

Aszhrae.... NWN?

I admit it, I am a SL junkie.  While I have perused the BDSM, D/s areas of the game (there are thousands!), its not a big part of my SL existence.  But I'd be glad to show you around in game if you'd like [:D]

Oops, post was meant to be in reply to the OP

NeverwinterNights
Based upon the Dungeon&Dragons 3.5ed.
It is within social servers where you would find Gorean wannabes, and other forms of kink and fetishes. A few having emotes where various interactive positions are available. It is a roleplaying environment much like World of Warcraft, but not quite as advance as SecondLife. Best of all the only thing you need to do is purchase the game as online play is Free.

This has got to be the single most accurate acronym that I have ever heard, which originated from the internet.

I met my current Domme on a NWN social server. [sm=hyper.gif] The only thing I have noticed from the NWN social servers, is the drama. Though, that could be in any game atmosphere. I've never dallied with BDSM or much in the way of relationships while gaming.

You don't have to work or shell out for Lindens unless you want to buy whatever is on offer. It IS boring, frankly and the most we get out of it is talking to a few friends in there in a sim we belong to.

That's what I thought you were talking about. We play NWN, don't particularly like the new one though. I don't generally play online because most games don't allow local characters and I worked way to hard to build her up... you know?

edited to add...

So that's where all the male s-types are huh?? I've been looking in all the wrong places!!!
