i've read a few posts that seem to indicate that Russian arms dealing, and the race for nuclear weapons in Iran have something to do with Bush. i'm not his biggest fan, by any means....but i sort of remember these messes being around pretty much most of my life. i think we can find enough to hate about him without making things up, or stretching facts.

The same will go for PE Obama...though i suppose judging from the sneering nicknames already bestowed upon him, and the fact that people seem to already be blaming him for the continous problems in Iran (seriously...WTF???) i shouldn't hold my breath.

In the other thread about Russia people were practically celebrating them falling on hard times and now we can all see what a nuclear power falling on hard times means to the rest of us. Anyone remember the mid nineties and why global economic well being goes hand in hand with global security? The problem with creating an us is you also create a them, my advice is look at the reasons they might have for doing it: the US is the largest exporter of weapons Russia wants that position. It's not like the US doesn't sell air defence to Israel. this isn't politics it's business.

Fair enough Ironitulstahp. But it seems to me that Obama's haphazard statements regarding the mideast certainly added a few more logs to the fire. Apperantly , as of Jan 20th, we are now garunteeing a Unified Jerusalem as capital of Isreal with our nuclear umbrella. Most likely that was just campaign BS to get the American Jewish vote, but imagine how that looks to the Iranians. And We are going to meet without preconditions with Iran, or We aren't.

He did promise radical change in our policies, and is going to get called on very quickly on them.
