I don't know if you were being facetious or not, but Collarme, Does indeed have a block feature based on gender. If you don't want males or Dom's contacting you, you can set it up in your email preferences.

It's a shame that collarme.com doesn't provide a facility whereby one could restrict the contacts by their gender/orientation - it would've made lives easier.
No, it's not an illiteracy problem, I'm afraid...

Seriously... is it the North American Education System letting illiterate people slip through the cracks?

Thank the 'No Child Left Behind' program, we are graduating kids who can't read.  The US is fast slipping in quality of education.  Granted, some conspiracy theorists claim this is exactly what the upper echelons of society and government want to create a new peasant class.

If that's the case then I have a question to throw out here. Then don't you think that the parents should take a more active role to help their ums to read? Which poses a problem with many families both parents work outside the house due to various reasons. My thought is we send our offspring to school to be educated yet we also need to do our part in assisting that education at home also.

Male Dominants to contact me.......  Seriously... is it the North American Education System letting illiterate people slip through the cracks?  Is it egos, desparation, ?????

Anyone else having this problem????

The quality of public school education in the U.S. has fallen, but it is a complex problem due to the wide disparity of those in our socioeconomic system. Where the U.S. continues to lead the world by a large margin is with universities. The affluent of the world send their people here for college, graduate and medical school.

Ideally, this would be the case.  And indeed, in some and  in an increasing rarity of cases, this does happen, like with me.  I was fortunate enough to have a stay at home mom that taught me to love reading before she passed away.   But you stated a good chunk of the problem, bear.  Many times both parents are working, sometimes multiple jobs just to get by, and along the way, time runs out.  Other cases, the parent(s) simply don't care, or think the educational system is fine.

And there is the case with NCLB, that when the um learns they don't have to learn, not do homework or anything but what they want to learn or do, and still get passed anyways, there removes any motivation to learn.  That's why I don't like NCLB.

It's not a matter of "can't read", it's a matter of "don't read".  Or, read only the first few lines of your profile that show up on the main screen before clicking the "view entire profile" button.  Or, "read, dick is in hand, don't care."

Its not so much a problem with some not being able to read as it is them not caring what your profile says, and not caring about what you desire in a match. I really do think its just that simple. There's not much you can do about it but ignore, block, delete, ect...

Yes. Compared to, say, a female dominant, I've found I don't receive nearly the volume of mail from mismatches and game players seeking more than friendly interaction. But I do get my share. The other folks I know that use this site have told me they basically see the same thing.

There's just not much use in getting worked up about it though. It's not going to stop regardless of what warnings you add to your profile text. Perhaps think of it as a glass-half-full situation.... At least you're getting mail!
