When Master collared me i knew it was for life. W/we have known each other for 10 months now.
i have been collared for 8 months and living 24/7 for 5 months. Soon to be married in February. So, yes this is a lifetime commitment for U/us. And i will serve Him until one of U/us dies.

At 37 years old, after three failed marriages, and two other failed long term relationships, I honestly believe in my heart that nothing with me will ever last forever.  I wish everyone else well, but I do not think that anyone would ever stay with me that long.  Unless they were cuffed and chained, and probably gagged.

The night I met by partner, nearly 3 ago, I knew he was going to be mine and within a few days he was...and we never turned back. I don't know if it will last forever, I hope it does, but I do know that sometimes you just have those moments when you know :) I hope everyone is fortunate enough to get one or two of those moments. Happy new year everyone.

It can be for life.....mine. Master died almost a year ago but I will always wear his collar but I know what you mean. I, too am a realist and have moved on but will always wear his collar.

It's a romantic gesture....sounds nice. I guess I'm too realistic though and know nothing is for life.

For Me, a collar is for life if at all humanly possible. Yes I've had 2 failed marriages so I am realist enough to know that something entered into with the best of intentions to be for life may not necessarily turn out that way. To Me, what is important is the intent for it to be and the willingness to put in the work to try to make it happen. And some lucky people do get to stay together till one dies ... and sometimes the commitment continues in some modified way even after that. As part of that, Master and i frequently talk about what it will be like in future years ... as i wear out before Him and He has to look after me physically ... We are very realistic about it!

LadyPact and clip ... that was a wonderful moment, thank You for sharing it with us here.

These stories make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I hope I get to experience something like that someday.

when i was first collared by LadyPact it was only for a year that i was to be stationed here in GA. since then W/we have grown so much together in many ways even my relationship with my wife has grown as a result of it. i was only looking for a play partner and have found so much more in my/Our poly family and have met so many wonderful new Friends along the way.

I didn't Collar her until after we'd agreed to become married.. and she asked Me for that (which made it twice as special, IMO). The level of commitment is the same, just expressed in different (sometimes) ways.
Congratulations.. sounds like a wonderful moment that should lead to many more.
