Body sugar done by a professional is the best, in my opinion. Take three Advil and get mildly to moderately intoxicated before you go.

Three advil? How about two Percs and a bottle of gin? And make sure the person doing it is a good conversationalist or at least hot looking so you can be distracted as she tortures you.

All I can say, is that in my experience shaving myself, a good man's razor (Mach3 is probably the best) is the best way to go. But as per others have said, soak the area in a warm bath/towel for a while before shaving as it makes it easier for the razor. Washing out the razor after every stroke helps also. Most importantly, use a moisturising cream afterwoods. Will make all the difference!!

One person did mention this, but I wanted to hear how others did it.
Do you shave with the grain or against?
I've been shaving with the grain, because otherwise I do get razor burn. But it's SO much smoother when going against the grain. Until the bumps show up. All these people talking about their wonderful results, are you guys going with or against? And just how smooth are you? Is there any shading left under the skin like a five o'clock shadow or anything?

I start with shaving with the grain, and then against to clear all the ones that are being stubborn and finally with the grain again. Sounds like I waste time doing the third shave but the smooth skin pays dividends afterwoods from what I have been told by ex-subs that got the pleasure of touching my cheek/neck. No five o'clock shadow a few hrs later.

My question is… Why the hell aren't you asking your boyfriends for help! Well, you might not get much shaved, but it should be more fun.

Additional comments:

1. If your hair is more than about 2 or 3 centimeters (1/8 inch), use hair clippers or good scissors to shorten the hair first. Otherwise, the razor blades will rip out the hair as they clog. That is, Mach3, Quatro, Attra– the multi-blade razors will clog faster than a single blade if the hair is long. In fact, if you trim more often, you may have to shave less.

2. As someone above said, a hot, steaming towel can help.

3. Use a cream (my choice) or a gel (not much experience with gel).

4. As Gomez says, shave with the grain first, against it on the second pass.

5. Use some product to sooth it afterwards.

6. Call a dom for help at 407- (heh heh)

My personal preference has been nicely trimmed, but recent girlfriend appeared before me fully shaved and gave me a lecture on how much cleaner shaved was with way too much graphic detail. I hope she hasn't ruined me.

I swear by Nair!
But, another good tip is to check any moisturiser you use for lanolin (burns me as i have really dodgy skin)
happy de-fluffing!

Coming from someone who was extremely dry skin...even has a name for it, Eczema. I know how you feel. I can barely shave my legs without cutting myself.
The first step I use is to trim as close to the skin as I can get. I can't afford the Venus razor...tho I love it...I do use a triple blade disposable by Schick which works well too.
I use Gillette Shaving cream for sensitive skin, (I can't use Nair) and shave with the grain and against the grain. I don't usually shave in the tub or the shower but sitting on the good ol' toilet seat and spread wide for 2 reasons...the bath tub is too much of a pain in the ass to clean, and the sink is right beside the toilet. However I will do it after I've had a long hot bath and used a moisterizing bubble bath, and Dove soap..I find it helps.
I find the shaving cream can make all the difference in the world as well, some of them I break out with. If you have dry itchy skin find ones that have extra vitamins.
I never thought of using babyoil to help shave, that is a good idea I'm going to have to try that myself.
Yes I've done sugaring before and never again...I did it to win a bet.

Ladies, could I please get some suggestions here? :-) I am curious what others think about the skin type issue...

as someone with very fair, somewhat dry sensitive skin, combined with thick red hairs, this slave can report that she has tried every "trick", every "product", and every "technique" described here and in every other shaving thread and then some and there is NOTHING that makes it any better other than waiting an entire week in between shavings. this is not very practical if Master desires you to be shaved smooth at all times. Doing it every day or every other day causes irritation, rash and/or bumps--this slave has learned to accept it as one of those things done for Master's pleasure that, because of the sheer aggravation of it all, she would NEVER do, if left to her own choices.

You only have to shave every week? By God I'm jealous!! I can only shave once a week because of my very dry skin..otherwise I look more like I was trying to butcher myself, however I should be shaving every 2-3 days legs included...ya not going to happen.

If I waited a week between shaving, I would go bonkers!! I can't handle more than two days growth at the very most!!

No, this slave never said that. she specifically said that she had tried every trick and technique and product that had been recommended and for her
quote:

there is NOTHING that makes it (rash, bumps and irritation) any better other than waiting an entire week in between shavings.

the fact that Master requires it more frequently than once a week is what prompted her to write this:

this slave has learned to accept it as one of those things done for Master's pleasure that, because of the sheer aggravation of it all, she would NEVER do, if left to her own choices.

on a personal note, this slave is very much into the natural look, complete with all the hairs one is intended to have and the color that it comes out all on it's own--a personal preference that has NO bearing in this slave's practical reality, as it is up to Master if this slave will have hair, anywhere on her body, including her head!

Hey we all have our ways of dealing with hairs and shaving....is all about choice. Some people prefer the natural look, while others can't stand those irritable hairs that always bug us at times.

Oops I did notice one mistake made, by most of us responding. We don't know your skin type! LOL That has a lot to do with rather or not you should use baby oil, lotion, etc, or dry, dry, dry. That will be completely up to you to decide. If your skin down there is really oily, you may not need or want to use or oils or lotions. If it's too dry, you might want to. Tough call.

Ladies, could I please get some suggestions here? :-) I am curious what others think about the skin type issue...

We can give suggestions all we want but I think we missed the biggest part of the problem here. It really does come down to skin type for shaving as some things will work while others won't. Thanks for pointing this out Passion!!

I too prefer to keep myself shaved and have extremely sensitive skin. I have found that using a new, good razor everytime is the number one thing that I can do to keep the rash away. I use the mens razors (My husband bought Me My own to keep Me away from his) Like Mach 3 turbo - or whatever silly thing they are naming them these days. I also use the Bikini Zone producs. They are the only products I have found that help. Use HOT water to open the pores too. Good luck!
