He has been scared off a lot of the threads, seems he cant manage when the kitties have claws.

I actually got to poke my head under the hood of an authentic, maintained Model T. *swoon*

Master's project car/hobby is His 1963 Buick Wildcat..gawds is she beautiful!  She went from a sorely neglected car when He got it to show quality after a year of hard work  and even won an award at a local car show for Most Improved.  me..i'm not physically involved in the restoration process but i do assist with searching for original parts, manuals, etc.

i got so caught up in His excitement and enjoyment that i've gone and bought my own project car/hobby..a 1988 Mercury Cougar.  There is no way anyone could mistake me for a gearhead, grease monkey, or otherwise but gawds i so love the process (even with all the mistakes i've made..lol).

Actually, Model Ts are very simple, all-business machines. The very simplicity, and the (to modern eyes) unusual materials make them interesting, but most people wouldn't consider them beautiful.

Now, if you move ahead a few years to the luxury coach-built cars of the late 20's-early 30's... Cadillac V12-14-16s, Packards, Bugattis (the original ones), and OMG, the Duesenberg SJ engine *droooooooooooooool*

I have owned a '57 Chevy Belair, a "69 GTO, a '78 Camaro and a '65 Impala.  I loved them all but the carI really wantback is the '65 Cadillac hearse that I drove in high school. It's still sitting under the same tree as the last time I saw it and my father's name is still on the title.

Currently, I have an '85 Cadidlac hearse.  I will be buying antiaue tags for it next year but I don't really consider it vintage.

I like the GMC Gabello.  I had a restored 1980 until last year when a semi driver turned too sharply; caught me under the trailer; dragged the vehicle under the trailer for a block; reduced it to trash with the rails broken in 4 places.  I did get $500 from no fault.   grr.
