CL, true that, "tough love" is just as hard on the parent.

I think it's tougher on the parent.

Anyone else had to do this? How did it work out?

I kicked my daughter out when she was 19.  My grandbaby went with her.  She wasn't making any attempt to support herself and was hell to have around.  It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.  She didn't speak to me for quite a while.  They went through some tough stuff for several years.  I missed her, worried about her, and it completely sucked.

It was definitely the right thing to do.  She sorted things out and got her head screwed on straight.  Today she and her squeeze have three wonderful kids, he's working and she's going to college.  They're happy and productive people.  It's wonderful to see.

There's no "think" about it.....it's WAY tougher on the parent.

It sure is tougher on the parent... they grow up with it... we grow old.  Want to compare battle scars?  hehe
