PC jargon is used with the intention of being as unoffensive to the largest segment of people. Unfortunately some get so hung up on PC jargon that they don't learn about the audience they are communicating with. The most glaring example I can think of are the terms "african-american", et al, there are individuals that I know that fit under that PC umbrella that hate the term and were I to communicate with these people I would chose a less offensive term to the individual. I just moved from an extremely PC sensitive area and there is a Women of Color Task Force that holds a Women of Color seminar every year. So sometimes the terms are or are not PC based on content or intent too. As far as this site is concerned, maybe "lifestyle" can fall under one of those PC terms to describe "us" as a whole but really doesn't sit well with some individuals, so when addressing the larger group it might be OK to use that word for lack of something better, but when addressing those individuals that have vocally objected to that term, it would be far from PC to use that term.
