You ask us to read your entire profile before responding....
You tell us that you are looking for a sub....
You tell us not to send you one line messages....

So what in the world goes through your head when you read an obediently crafted email and YOU RESPOND WITH A ONE LINE MESSAGE???

Ladies, this is a two way street. If you want to get a little, you have to GIVE a little.

Ummmm...would that one line response to you be, "Thanks... I'm not interested?" [:D]

Bwahahahaha! (wipes tear from her eye). Priceless.

LadyJC -> RE: Domme One Liners (1/4/2006 8:34:09 AM)

The only time I will send a one line email is to tell the person I'm not interested. Usually I don't send one liners, but state in the email that they obviously did not read my profile, reading theirs find they live too far away or there's not much in common in the first place. Or they send me something that's completely inappropriate. So I will politely respond with more than one line giving them hell for doing the simplest things.

NightRoseBud -> RE: Domme One Liners (1/4/2006 8:38:22 AM)

Well, for example, I came online to see if I had messages on Collarme.com this morning. And five minutes after I sign on I have six new messages from six different subs. So I have a problem. Do I spend the time writing detailed messages, just write one liners, or ignore them all and get on with my day?

I realize your frustration, but you have to remember that a lot of the Dominant women on here get many messages in one day. I try to at least respond politely, but even one liners take a lot of time.

perverseangelic -> RE: Domme One Liners (1/4/2006 8:51:13 AM)

Like many, I respond with one or two lines quite often, usually if the message is totally off base, I'm not interested, or they're online right now and I"m giving them my messanger handles.

My most common message in return is
"Thanks for writing, I appreciate the effort, but this seems off-base considering my profile."

fergus -> RE: Domme One Liners (1/4/2006 10:47:23 AM)

I much prefer a one-liner response to no response at all ;)

Heck, I would rather recieve a "not interested" than nothing. At least you know the person took the time to read it and such.

The nature of things is this: You are here to woo a woman (myself, I am here for that and to make friends as well). There is STIFF competition as there are FAR more men on this site then women. If you get a reply at all, that is a GOOD SIGN! Keep going! If you move to the 'forefront' of that woman's mind, she will let you know ;)

There is nothing so important to say that could not wait a few hours until you have more time to write a response. Everyone knows Dommes get a lot of email and nobody expects an instant response. In fact, a response within a week is very good...after a week it's safe to assume they are not interested. Move on.

[:D]Of course that's an understandable one liner.

Now mammasboy [:)], isn't that the exact same advice that should be given to the person that receives that one liner response? [;)]

When My profile clearly states I am involved, not taking any new petitions, only mentoring teaching questions-- My journal says I am involved and then I get a well written email that says:

" I have read your profile and you appear to be the Domme for Me, please read My profile and I await the opportunity to kneel at Your feet"...

Your damn right you are going to get a one liner! If you read My profile, you wouldn't be sending Me a petition.

Or...he'll be "kneeling" for a VERY long time....if you don't answer! [sm=lol.gif]

orfunboi -> RE: Domme One Liners (1/5/2006 4:33:32 AM)

Keep looking, eventually you will find someone for you. i personally ignore the ones like that. i just got a one liner in email yesterday "iam looking for a pet if u are interested send me ur info like's and dislike's ur limit's ,do u have a cam lil one?"

Checked out her profile and sure enough, she does not respond to one line messages, but seems unable to even put a hi or bye in her email. Of course she also missed the part in my profile that says i don't want an online relationship so i wasn't expecting much. i am sorry, but if you can't take the time to write out an email, then you can't be very interested. It doesn't take that much more time to type out 'your' and no 'ur' is not an acceptable abreviation.

Just ignore, there are some really wonderful women on here, and in time you will meet one. Good luck in your search.

Not much? Honey, your profile is threadbare.

Personally I do not ( especially from a submissive) respond to a profile that is blank. If you can't take the time to write about you, why should I...

I can relate to that, and although her profile wasn't blank, it looked like it was typed by a child. i did respond however, mainly because i was bored. Basically told her, i don't have a webcam, but if she had read my profile, she would have already known i wasn't into a online relationship.

So why go to the trouble of writing someone, when you don't take the time to read the profile first. It just made her look like an online wannabe and sure did not give me the desire to serve.

I think you make a valid point.
I think it really depends on what you wrote, and to whom you are writing. If a lady says read, and write a thoughtful message, and you don't get a thoughtful message back, that is the beginning of the many clues you will get within that relationship, even granting a power exchange/imbalanced relationship, all relationships require some generosity on both parts.

If on the other hand, the one line is I'm not interested, than I agree with Fergus who said

Good luck, and welcome to the boards mammasboy16, M

KCMOLucky -> RE: Domme One Liners (1/5/2006 12:11:31 PM)

If I can be serious for a moment (Yes, it's hard, a struggle, I know...)

Your name would be very offputting to me, personally. It gives a hint of a lack of immaturity, a propensity to cling, and an unhealthy inability to stand on your own. I would have sent you a "No thank you" email just based on your name. Coupled with the nonexistent profile, and you've got one uninterested Domme here.

Now, there are most certainly Domme out there who could be looking for that type (clingy, child like), so I only represent a section of people...lol.

Good luck finding someone. :)
