Status: offline 		It depends on how easy the submissive (regardless of gender) marks and what their definition of being a pain slut is. After a certain point there may not be any real way to hide the marks, especially if they mark easily. Common sense things like watching how many times the same area is hit, and the thinner the object (and the more force it is applied with) there is an increased likelihood of leaving marks. Playing lightly at first and slowly increasing intensity as you learn what their body's tolerances are. I don't think (practically speaking only) that its any different then a submissive having a job where some areas of the body are shown and marks would not appear professional. (Wearing a swimsuit or other athletic gear is an example that comes to mind.)

Status: offline 		I am going to answer this from another aspect..Not that a husband might see them who is being cuckold but that marks would be detrimental to her job or familial relationships. Sports are one way to explain them, accidents do happen but the best way I have found is to forget about doing gross pain play (whips, cats, floggers, canes etc.) but to work on the micro scale. Needles, tens, violet wands, clamps w/weights, sectioned hair pulls and weight, contortion positioning with padded restraints, pressure points, Whartenberg wheels to labia and feet, and other such torments work on nerves without leaving marks and bruises if done carefully in small areas.

Everything is going to leave some trace behind even if you are ultra careful, but most often they will not be noticed, unless someone is searching for signs..

Uhhhhh, yeah   (See, you got my first smiley emoticon in nearly 1,000 CM posts, isn't that special?!).
Okay, so it's entirely hypothetical.   My questions still remain.  (See, one of the perils of entertaining vagaries is that people can walk them in any direction they wish as I did with my queries which you didn't really answer). 
Taking this hypothetical yarn a bit further, if we assume she's not cheating  and that you just don't want to leave marks for some other reason, there have been some great suggestions made for ways to minimize marking and as a dominant, I suppose it would be a great opportunity to read up on things painful that mark minimally.  Perhaps your local bdsm group may have some seminars upcoming in which you may partake. 
The answers, too, would depend largely on how easily marked the subject is.  If someone does not mark easily, much greater a field of possibilities for causing them pain than someone who does mark very easily. 
And, while I'm a bit on the sleepy and mellow side to indulge my inner saidst at the moment, I'd say that a good bet would be those places that are most difficult to see/and or where the skin is a different color already (Inside the mouth, labial/vaginal areas, etc.).

Sensation play instead of s & m, bondage, violet wand (electricity play in general). Hand spankings aren't as likely to bruise her. Food irritants such as figging, capsaican, menthal, pure oils like mint - all applied to sensitive bits are likely to have no marks but a big sensation.

Additionally she should use arnica cream, avoid hot showers/baths, avoid aspirin.

If true you could just have asked for ideas to cause pain without leaving marks. If you ask it that way it opens things up a bit. There are many types of pain sensation that dont require impact play etc. The violet wand which someone mentioned is a really good one.
