You mean that you enjoy tossing a hot dog down the hall?

Just trying to clarify exactly how small is "small."  In order to keep us on topic, I shall simply add that it doesn't sound like it's worth my paying you a visit next time I'm in Blighty.  I assume toothpicks can be found in any large shop [:D]

It was the most baffling two days I have had lately, Peon.  The strangest mixture of intimacy and aloofness...  and I can't for the life of me see the signals that I missed.

You cold people---give us some freakin HINTS already!

intimate and aloof...I think I know him!

So, you're saying it might be a bit roomy in there for you?

LOL....I am sorry if I break the current flow of ideas but I had to intervene in this thread, if the Ladies kindly allow me to.....

In my continent, we have the unfortunate reputation, police security and geographical distance to deter even the most adventurous world travelers so we are something of a desert in what regards to BDSM. Occasional visitors or short-term residents from other countries who come here for work reasons or leisure always become a chance for a one-night-stand sort of session or a "summer fling" situation, or also 1-2 year long relationships, and mostly they mix, in the latter forms, the BDSM play with emotional/sexual intimacy, but some keep it as a frienship with kinky benefits moments.

Despite the sad knowledge that it will have to end, always hanging over your head like a damocles' sword, because it's too expensive/complicated for a Dominant to stay here or have her Sub relocate with her in her country, or because they actually do come here knowing that what happens here will stay here...as well as whom it happened with, allows for some situations, but we have learned to make the most out of it as we can and focus on the moment, on growing as a person and learning more and enjoying our kink because we know that it is forbidden and rare to find.

However....although only 5% of the long-term relationships may end in relocation for one of the persons involved, mostly the sub, and/or an engagement at a deeper level, and 95% of the relationships end and even Internet contact breaks off after a while since distance is the damaging factor, we are optimistic because we know that here, we won't find any Dominatrix willing to Love and Domme us, only scars to remember not to trust again, so we strive and study, work and train as hard as possible to get out of here, and finally reach a Haven, for we have been through Hell.

Love is above frontiers, borders and nautical miles. When it's the real thing... different countries and continents don't make any more of an obstacle.

I agree!!!!  We are closer than relationships right here at home.  There is daily contact, hours online, phone contacts, and a lengthy visit here.

We are getting married.  I couldn't ask for a better man!

I am curious how many of you entered into an international relationship, maybe I should use the term bi-continental relationship that you intended to make real?

Did it work?
What were the challenges?
Is it even, given the world today, a realistic expectation?
Were the D or s's really serious about relo? Was their intent sincere, or was it more a means to lie to get what they wanted?

In my case , the term bi- ..... does not apply , I prefer Transatlantic anyway .

I've never found anyone interested in starting long distance, so I finally just stopped trying to find it. I'm in South Korea right now and just stopped looking.
