How much of the D/s or M/s relationship do you believe or think should be based upon the physical, spiritual or psyche?
What is more important or less important or should it be in equal amounts?

I believe there should be a balance between all three. I see this being subjective in that I can't determine a numerical value, just that having a balance between all and not having each be in conflict.

It's tough to put it all into numbers. Also, it depends on the kind of relationship. For a life partner, I need the physical attraction and the sexual compatibility. But, that kind of thing doesn't last forever, so the mental connection is more important for a permanent relationship.

I need all three in fairly equal amounts - obviously, varying depending on what's going on in our lives. Sometimes the emotional will be more needed than physical, etc. Balance - which is very hard to achieve sometimes.

I dont see much of the spiritual in my relationship with Fox. We are emotional, physical and definitely psychological, but what I consider spiritual does not enter into the equation at all.

I think it should be in equal amounts...

Physical............50%
Spiritual............50%
Psychological....50%

Depends as always on how one interprets the different aspects - I'm with DV in that I don't see what I think of as spiritual relating to D/s.

I wouldn't feel comfortable playing physically (as dom with a sub) if I weren't feeling that it was a totally dom/sub psychological relationship too. So I'm with holly in that both aspects get 100%.
