How's your hearing?

Huh? What? Say again?!! [:D] ha ha ha!!!

Seriously, even though I like metal/hard rock (though I've played everything from metal to top 40 to soft rock to southern rock to ballads), any serious musician learns early that you can't play on "10" (or "11" if you're in Spinal Tap [;)]) and learn anything.

I listened to/learned off guys like Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmstein, Eric Johnson, Al Dimeola, etc. -- you just can't pick off what those guys are doing while playing at full volume.

Even when playing clubs and larger venues, the amps are always mic'd and you use the monitors to hear yourself. That's the cleanest way to play. The only guys that played on "10" were the dudes that had to run their amps that hot in order to get them to distort.

Hmmm I must say I am a little surprised at all the attention this thread has gotten. I feel like most of it was a rant stating the obvious, and calling 90% of us stupid for not knowing it, with well over 90% of us agreeing with it. If I started a thread against murder would we all feel the need to chime in to agree! *laughs*

Like stated in a previous post, you are preaching to the choir. The people that you need to reach with this message still will not get it. *Sigh*

Then again, maybe I am just in a bad mood.

Well then carry the message to the masses man... I'll take care of HALF of the CollarMe crowd and you take the OTHER HALF.

BTW... I've got dibs on the FEMALE half, you can have the dudes... ([:)] ha ha ha I called it first!!!)

That......that is so un-fair. *sigh*

Speaking only for myself, just so you know, the reason I look to the younger bottoms is because I'd like to get married, have a family, etc. Many women 40+ have already gone down that road and simply aren't looking to re-live that aspect of their lives.

I don't know how many other Tops are thinking this as well, but that's why I look to those younger than me... Hope that helps, sugar pie?!!

I have a very dear Dom friend who feels that very same way, he has one child from a previous marriage, and wants to have a wife and have more children--nothing wrong with that at all IMHO.

The big difference, global, is that LA uses those terms in general, not at you specificly. If you take particular offence then that is on you. Remember this when you get edited. Just had to interject that.
Also, if you found it to be such whining then why do you act so hurt by it. Maybe it holds a bit of truth to it? I've noticed that about most of those that respond to this post in the negative. It hits so close to home that they get rather defensive and try to pick it apart. In doing this they are showing a slip in their emotional control themselves. Not a very admirable trait.
Personally, when I first read the OP all I could see was the terms as well, but looking beyond the terms you see where he is coming from and the sense he makes. Is this a rant? Yes. Did he need to use the terms he used? Well, it did get ALOT of people to read it and many the huge majority agree with it despite the terms used.

Ok folks... Feel free to FLAME away!!! [:D] hee hee hee

(Edited for typos and shtufff...)

Why flame the truth?? Only thing perhaps to add is for subs to consider chatting with dom/mes that may have less experience then themselves. Everyone has to start somewhere and one should always keep learning so one shouldn't be intimidated if the other has more experience.

Great post, should be required reading.

I'm glad to see, that, upon coming back to the boards, it is possible for someone to speak their mind, and not all viewpoints be poplular viewpoints, and no resultant flames in the post. Good points, smiles....

Gargle? No one has ever said that to me before. Is that the difference between oral and verbal sex?

Poor windy's throat hurts? From groaning only?
