ORIGINAL: rednicky Why does height matter period? Based on the emotions that flared, this thread became more about height. Are we all satisfied with the answer "It's more pleasant to have sex with something pretty" response? I for one don't even find that true. It's not more pleasant and might be in fact very boring, speaking only from my experience of course. Pretty is a relative term, subjective - there is also beauty in that which does not conform to current standards of beauty, to put it diplomatically, in fact to many Vanilla's WIIWD is itself ugly and repulsive, but I think one of the things one learns if one is to have any sort of meaningful relationships is that superficial beauty is... superficial. In this sense, one may seek to make love to the body, through the mind, or seek to make love to the mind, through the body. Fortunately, BDSM provides a rich menu of techniques and approaches for both. I'm not sure whether either approach is "superior" in any sense, they both have their merits, but personality wise, I tend to subscribe to the Jungian approach, i.e., Sensing, feeling, thinking, intuition (I believe I'm an INFJ), and ultimately, it's all about how you mesh and meet each others needs as a dyad: sensory types may be pickier about appearance for itself, thinking types may evaluate appearance in terms of physical fitness, etc.
