You'd think I'd learn... ~laffs~

I recieve a letter on the other side this morning... well written, respectful.... I responded with a few sincere questions about him and what he is seeking... he responds firing a number of philosophical questions (each one could fill up several hours of conversation over wine in front of the fireplace) which makes him seem a "little" pushy, but I figure maybe he is one of those who never gets a response and is therefore nervous...

Anyone watch CSI Vegas? Yanno that obnoxious guy in trace who does NOT get that Grissom isn't his bestest buddy? - This guy kinda reminded Me of him somehow. He started sounding more and more like he thought he was the "only true slave"... when I finally got through to him that we simply see slavery differently, he could not break it off himself, instead he began putting words in MY mouth and projecting his issues onto Me...

OMFG

The only reason I started talking with him was because unlike the fifty people that mail Me with only "hi" or "what would you do to me if I was there", or whatever, this guy initially seemed like he had a pulse that wasn't wrapped up in his pecker...

so who has humorous accounts of the delusions we find here? I need to laugh...

I've always been amused reading from those (usually) young women who think just because I was born with Tab-A and they with Slot-B, I should be overjoyed that they deign to offer themselves to me and accept them in whatever capacity they choose; without ever apparently considering that, as an owned submissive, I might not be interested in my very own slave girl.

Funny, i never get offers from service submissives; even if Ma'am has oft told me i may not have one of my very own, it doesn't mean a boy can't dream.

Wow… you know everything about him in one day and a few messages…you have him pegged as delusional…Dr Phil has nothing on you.

Maybe you two just didn’t have a meeting of the minds. Your perceptions of the conversation were different… That does not make him delusional… just wrong.

You set him straight no need to belittle him… unless he refuses to move on.

Try putting that you have a degree in philosophy in your profile- it's incredible how many people take that as a challenge to prove their intellectual rhetoric to me.

I've gotten those types and types of emails too... the problem is... you say we don't agree... and they try to stick around and argue the point or all their points.  By that point, I don't give a shit and have come to a few conclusions as well.  Sum someone up... oh yeah... don't need a Dr. Phil type to tell me... we won't work, this isn't working for me and most likely isn't for him... and half of Dr. Phil's stuff is off the cuff and assuming a lot too... so... I figure that fifty-fifty chance of being right... in my favor... I couldn't care less if it is working in his favor... I am not the one emailing to argue and prove a point.

I see a lot of people learning what it takes to get your attention and then are spitting all over you.  Laugh... block... at least until they change their nick name and account and come back at you! lol

Dr. Phil is a smart and witty man... who does have some good things to say... but... he was a doctor, then he wasn't allowed to practice... so true.  He does make for interesting google research though. lol

makes about as much sense as those folks who think the sun rises and sets on Dr Laura...

who *does* have a doctorate.  in physical education.  not pyschiatry, as she implies by her radio programming.

I get contacted frequently by delusional people. Usually they fall into two categories. Those delusional enough to believe I'd be willing to let them use beth, just because they've asked and claim to have 250 years 'experience' as a 'true master'; and those who beg me to dominate them in a session than proceed to tell me what I can and can't do.

I'm grateful to them for providing me an opportunity to derive sadistic pleasure in responding to both delusions in detail. For instance, I can't say that the person who asked for beth to castrate him with a rusty razor is delusional because I responded;  "Sure!" He may be on his way.

I feel your pain, man! Young women always falling all over me when I'm not really interested. I hate when that happens.

I usually do not respond after one or two emails of stupidity and they go straight to my blocked list.

I recently had someone message me on here who fell outside of my normal standards (too far in distance, too far in age, among other things) but he sounded sincere enough so I wrote back. After a couple of emails I agreed to chat on yahoo. We spent about an hour, if that, and he seemed normal except for some random comments every so often using the term "slave driver." For example he'd say his ex used to really be a slave driver and later asked me if I liked the idea of being a slave driver and making someone work 16 hour days for my benefit. I was definitely seeing a pattern emerge so I told him it sounded like he had a bit of a hangup on a particular scenario and that no, I'd much rather have someone work a normal job and be at home to spend time with me than to be working 16 hours a day. At this point he was quiet for about 5 minutes then wrote back "I've been rethinking this and I don't think we're a good match. Bye." I was like WTF? Delusional.

i have been in the psych field for years and Dr Phil does make a few good assessments, but he has also said some things that make me think he recieved his degree from a gum ball machine.

While I have only blocked one person thus far and that was for personal affronts, though from a psychological viewpoint, I suppose I could say that creature was delusional.
Hmmmmm, the one-liners irk me, I find it bothersome when folks make propositions to me prior to reading my profile (It was once much longer than it is now), and I think that, particularly when it was specifically addressed in my profile, someone addressing me using honorifics or demanding I use them in speaking with them is in their own special la la land.
Generally, though, I speak with folks who interest me, I politely dismiss others who do not and if they don't take the hint with any level of promotness or grace, I offer more harsh inducements to leave me be.

I find it just hilarious when a "Dom" accuses me of topping from the bottom when we're just having conversation, trying to get to know each other and what potential there might be, when I've made no decision or agreement to submit to them.

Psychiatrists don't ever have doctorates. Some clinical psychologists do. But psychiatrists are M.D.s.

Pet peeve here. Carry on.

OP, why should he have suddenly gotten it and broken off the conversation? You kept talking to him which made him think you might have a connection. Why didn't you say when you realized your viewpoints didn't mesh that you weren't compatible but you wish him good luck in his search? Why lead him on and now jeer at him and call him delusional, which btw you haven't demonstrated that he is.

I only wish this guy had said "we don't match, but good luck" - LOL

He'd asked open-ended questions about how "I" view slaves, their rights, priviledges, etc... I answered and then asked a couple of follow up questions of My own...

For example he seemed to feel that a slave has no rights and that a "real slave" is allowed absolutely no say about anything -yet he specified "non-sexual service". I asked him how he could reconcile having no rights with setting limits on how a Mistress used him if he was truly PROPERTY. I was exploring his thinking process and he began saying that I wasn't a "real Mistress " because all I seemed to want was a sexual submissive. (Funny, I have the sexiest slave on the planet and I rarely use him since My car accident - I am so NOT looking for sex)

Another example: he claimed that in a previous relationship he was not allowed to read newspapers or watch television. I expressed that I value a slave who can converse with Me, bring new things to the relationship instead of stagnating. His assessment? I do not know what "real slavery" is and My cubby is only My submissive because I give him too much freedom...?

OOOOkkkkkaaaayyy... Delusional!

I normally can pick these types out of a crowd with a blindfold on... but this one was a little more skillful than most... That was the reason for this thread. To hear other stories of ones who got through initial screening and then turned out delusional...

Oh, to the snarks on the thread (you know who you are), I claimed he was delusional based upon both HIS expectation of what is "real" and "true" AND upon the fact that when we were obviously not a match he felt the need to impose HIS judgements (all false) upon Me and My life rather than simply saying we should look elsewhere.

Ya'll have a GREAT day

I exchanged perhaps 20 mails with him this morning... only in the last two did he reveal his assessments.. when I received the first "questionable" one, I politely said that we "seemed" to be looking for different things, but that I enjoyed the discussion we were having, please feel free to message Me from time to time.

The last one he sent totally "lowered the boom", so to speak. He used statistics from the UN about how many "true" slaves exist in the world and then basically summed up My life and My slave from assumptions he'd made... all flawed.

I did not continue to "show interest in him", I simply expressed that while we may not be looking for the same things in a partner, I welcomed conversing with him in the future. Hey, I am a total WHORE for an intelligent debate - shoot Me...

Imagine my embarassment in thinking it might evolve into a friendship...
