My wireless contract is about to expire very soon and I was just wondering what carrier you use and if you have had good experience with one company over another.

Currently, I use AT&T and have since it bought out Cingular, which I had for years.  Both of them have had good customer service and pretty good reception.  Do you like your current provider and the plans they offer?

I have US Cellular, mainly because they are the only carrier with good reception here in the boonies. One thing I like about them is that you can change plans without extending your contract. When I was married and had Verizon, every change extended the contract for two years.

I've had Verizon for nearly 10 years and have always been happy with them.  I don't know if other companies offer the "new in two", but basically you get a credit towards a new phone every 22 (not 24) months or so.  I got an Env2 for about $25 plus tax.

also, I found out they offer discounts to employees of certain companies and their spouses, dependents etc.  don't know if other comapanies do that.

That's cool, lh.  I know that AT&T gives a discount to Virginia State employees.  It's nice to know that other companies do as well.

I love Verizon, and have had it forever, since GM gave its employees discounts back in the days of Airtouch.  No discounts anymore, of course!  I will be hiving off to ATT once my checkbook says I can actually HAVE the iphone...

Currently with Rogers AT&T. I have no complaints though right now, I'm not on a plan but do the pay as I go deal. I am considering signing up to a 2 yr plan.

Verizon gives a discount to employees of my company.  I need to check on that.  I vote that you get Verizon so if I go back out on the road, we can talk as much as we want for free!!!

I have US Cellular and it's great.  No matter whereI am, I can tell clients I never got their message because of poor service.  Plus, when I'm out camping/hunting/drinking the wife can never reach me because there is never service ever, it's great to be so out of touch

I HAD Ntelos.  Great reception, and the unlimited plan didnt cost an arm and a leg.  At the time when I had it, it was around 50, 60 dollars.  Woot!  The only thing is, they dont get the new awesome phones like the Shine, or the IPhone, so that makes me a lil sad.

I've had the same carrier since 1998. It's now called Verizon. No complaints and reasonably priced. I use their internet now also. The only thing I had available before was dial up, this is definitely an improvement.

I was fondling a Blackberry Storm this morning and the Verizon folks tell me it is now 20 months. Yayyy - I'm getting my Storm in May !

Interesting...  Just looking at the CM people I have in my cell phone address book, it seems like 9 have Verizon.

Make that 10   I've been with them 8 years now, I think.  Maybe 9.  I'm totally happy with the service.

As an added incentive, Verizon-to-Verizon calls are free unlimited and don't come out of your Peak hours.  My company gets a discount, too.

I'm due for my new-every-two phone in March, yippee.  I've been looking at the Storm, too.  I just hope the battery lasts longer than it does in my current Krazr.  I've begun to hate that phone...the battery holds a charge for less than 30 min.

LaT reminded me.....I also carry their wireless card.  I'm always online when I want to be.  I will say that their DSL service here sucked, and when a storm knocked it out, they couldn't come to fix it for 4 days, then they didn't even show up on that day.  I dropped it.

Hey, wind!  LOL, I wasn't sure which one you had as I was scrolling down.  It used to be that most of my friends had Cingular/AT&T, so it just made sense to stay with them all this time.  But with so many using Verizon, I thought I should at least consider switching since I think only one or two people in my phone book are still with them.

I love that Thing 1 and I were at Best Buy this afternoon, looking at the new phones that are available for free with new service, and we found one that was kind of cute.  It's called a "Blitz."  I thought it might be "calling" me because its got something called a "Qwerty" keyboard that slides out.

(I mean, how did Verizon know that DB's qwert was the first thing that ever sent me into subspace?  Dayum, these people are everywhere!)

Mistress and I both have AT&T (formerly Cingular), so with unlimited network mobile-to-mobile, we can talk forever.  They have pretty good rate plans and I've never had any problems with them in the 8 or so years I've been with them.  I rate them an 8.5 out of 10 due to the occasional spotty reception at inopportune times.

I use Verizon. I rarely have signal issues which is a good thing. I'd love an iphone but darned ATT has that.

I have Tmobile.  Been incredibly happy with them for the 4-5 yrs I've been with them. Anytime I've had problemswith paying the bill, theyve been willing to work with me.  I never have signal issues.
