Last Night on Adult Swim I fell off the couch when the mentioned this. "Apparently PETA wants to call Fish Sea Kittens, Which is Fine as long as we are allowed to Eat and Kill Land Fish which is what we are petitioning to rename actual Kittens" I was LAUGHING MY ASS OFF <---- see that All Typed out I was laughing that hard. Wow - how weird is it that this thread popped-up while I was in the middle of a tunafi... I mean tuna-kitten sandwich...? Hmmm... land fish... My dog will like that! Reminds my of the infamous Land Shark sketch on Saturday Night Live. PETA really needs to have their not-for-prfit status pulled. In a way, we all support them since the corporation doesn't pay taxes. Sea kittens... come on...! I can understand them connecting catch and release as potentially being cruel but the rest of it...pass me the Ahi and Tuna please. I refuse to pay any attention to people who call Bulls and Steers, male cows, take dogs and cats from shelters where they can be adopted and slaughter them inhumanely then dump the bodies in dumpsters and cannot accept that even if they object to animals being used for food, and try to point people towards vegetarianism, that plants are living things as well. I invite them to dine on petroleum products and wear them as they see fit..oh wait..aren't they made from the left-over molecules from creatures that existed 230 million years ago? Perhaps their graves should not be disturbed for Petas clothing, transportation and food. I cordially invite them to stand in a ring with Pit Bulls that have NOT been fed on the flesh of other animals and offered only salads to eat and talk them into continuing their vegetarian ways. I on the other hand shall continue to enjoy the bounty of the seas, air, and earth. poenkitten

I had a very tasty portion of Salmon Kitten tonight, sauteed in olive oil, medium rare as all sea kittens of the salmon persuasion should be cooked. It was de-scrumptious. I think we have some new cookbooks in the making.

Roll it in egg and buttermilk, then in breadcrubs , herbs and parm. cheese. Deep fry till nice and crispy. Sprinkle with slat and pepper, and eat up. On a Serious Note Rabbit is one of my FAVORITE Stewing Meats and I know a few guys who Make OUT OF THIS WORLD Rabbit Jerky (Hard Jerky) Snake, and Lizard are also good but an aquired taste. Steel

Gwyn, I'll see if the link I have for a place in Texas that does nothing but supply Wild Game meats is still good. I order from them frequently - everything from Deer and Elk to whole Rabbit (last one was a tastey lil bugger, oven roasted with whole new potatoes, baby carrots, and leeks) to the occassional Bear or Crocodile steak. They routinely carry farm raised exotic meats from around the globe, ship via UPS in special frozen containers with the goods packed in dry ice, and have Very reasonable prices if you haven't had time to stock the freezer with venison on your own. (They even have a reasonable customer service team.)
