Too true, and like I said... better safe than sorry. It's such a large crowd, you know?

I am watching, Mia - I'm not sure what happened, but the secret services just got them back inside the car pronto, a minute ago or so - it seemed unplanned that they should go back in the car so soon. I hope there's nothing to worry about: I must say, as happy as I am to see this scene, I'm scared to death that something bad could happen. So, in a way, I'm glad to see them back inside the safety of the limo...

Awww MissMotherHen!
We will pray for him!
I can't bare to think thoughts like that, it will be dark here in 1 hour.

I didn't expect it to go this long.
Me? I am hoping he will make another major public speech when it is a tad warmer.
kittin, it is a great time to live in the D.C. area.

Aww, MzMia. The Obama's willl be fine in the 25 degree weather. They are Chicagoans < ? if a word>. It probably feels like spring to them. [;)]

Just getting home from work, missed watching the events of the day, but was able to catch the end of President Obama's inaugaral address in the car. Jeesh, the man can speak.  I hope to hear the full address later tonight. I heard that some one read a poem after his address that was fabulous, looking forward to that too.

I'm catching the parade now. Mrs. Obama looks lovely in that gold dress. It's the perfect color for her complexion and stature.

I always get a little antsy when the new Presidents get out of the motorcade and walk down Penn. Ave. God Bless those Secret Service men.

PRESIDENT Obama, it is so nice to type out those words.

President Obama has become President, at a time in history in which America
has probably never struggled with so many issues a the same time.

He has stepped into a Presidency that most rational people would run from.
May GOD give him the insight and guidance to lead our country.
I wish only the best for him, he is facing battles on so many fronts.

CONGRATULATIONS PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Next time he should skip the seafood....

Irishknight -> RE: Watch the inaugaration LIVE! (1/20/2009 8:07:16 PM)

maybemaybenot, I'd skip the poem.   While I will stand by the statement that this was the best inaugural address in my lifetime, the poem didn't impress me.  I thought it was less than inspired and poorly read.  In fact, as I watched on tv, the crowd began walking out on the poem.   Opinions vary, though, so feel free to disagree.

FullfigRIMAAM1 -> RE: Watch the inaugaration LIVE! (1/20/2009 8:32:10 PM)

I actually agree with you on the poetry...  Didn't really move me as read or written frankly.  Nikki Giovanni would have had that crowd on fire.    M

And you know, Marc's probably a pretty alright guy as well.

And as a side bet, I'd wager that you're not evil either!  [;)]
