Yeah, after slaveboy wrote that, I went to YouTube and watched. It definitely was meant to be funny and it was. It's good to see that people can actually have a sense of humor about it and take it for what it was. I don't care what the cynics say (and I'm usually such a cynic, myself) but I'm happy and hopeful...nah nah na nah Luci, I understood that it was meant to be humorous. But I was offended by a portion of that little sermon. Reverend Lowery said this: quote:
"We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back ... when brown can stick around ... when yellow will be mellow ... when the red man can get ahead, man ... and when white will embrace what is right ..." Note the part that I underlined. It's an attack on us evil white people. Essentially he's saying that us blue-eyed devils are still evil, but he hopes we'll become enlightened now that St. Obama is showing us the way. My one hope from the outcome of this election is that professional race baiters like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and apparently Rev. Lowery will no longer be given credence for their bogus views on the evil white man.
