Sheepish mostly about the fact that I added far more 'personal' information to my profile than I ever had before.

My first version, after I first came, focused completely on kinks, sexuality, and 'don't wants' and things like that. Then my second was barren. My third was the previous one, and this is my fourth, which includes a good bit more info about me, the person, than any of the others (and than I usually share over the internet). Plus, I had said that I'd given up completely on the thought of love or another relationship, especially someone to fulfill my kinky needs/wants

That's where the sheepish aspect comes in.

that's probably the most profound thing I've heard in a good while, ALAstella.

And in response to the ideas of changing or finding ourselves... well, I don't feel like I was ever lost (or that this is even a change within myself)... I simply switched labels (when it comes to orientation) to make expectations of others more likely to match my own. I've found that most, if not all, strictly dominant types don't want someone 'topping' (in a BDSM sense) them, ever. In an ideal relationship, it's something that I would do, albeit very rarely still more often than strictly submissive people. I would still consider *myself* by my own definitions submissive, and likewise belonging to my partner and yaddayaddayadda I just seem to have slightly different ideas when it comes to exactly how I show it

I see what you mean, Aravain. I  have also experienced the 'I'll never love again' syndrome, then time teaches us that plenty of it is a great healer, that we are sociable creatures and need companionship, understanding and yes, even love. Once it does - we update our profiles lol
