I do wonder how many poets there are out there,
who will spoil their Dom/me or sub with a poem
for Valentine's day.

Status: offline 		i usually try to make a homemade card, sometimes i look google for neat ideas last year i made a card for the Dom i was with at the time it said i love you in about ten different languages. it looked pretty neat, i usually write a poem/letter from the heart but i am not yet sure what i will do yet this year i am talking to a few Doms right now, hopefully something will work out.

Status: offline 		LOL actually we watched Privilege last night in which a beau gave one of the girls a poem and I specifically looked to my partner and said "You know I'm fine with you never writing me a poem, really, fine"

I am not a poetry fan and it's very rare I actually enjoy a poem.  My partner is not a poet.  I'd much prefer he put his energies into his strengths.

lovehurtsattimes, I'm glad you liked my work.  I have loads of ideas for poems, whether happy or sad, but I don't think people want to read too many of those.

Status: offline 		This is our first Valentines actually together instead of long distance and the our anniversary is not long after so I was thinking of trying to write up something original.

I used to be a darn good writer and have even had small things published but for this I'm having serious writers block lol everything sounds dumb when I read it over.

Akisha, I'm glad you liked my work.
 
As for your writer's block, just back away from the project and put it out of your mind for a while.  Don't force it, otherwise it'll just block up even more.  Words from the heart should flow naturally like a cool, crisp river.  Just keep a notebook handy just in case you catch a sudden rush of ideas.  Best of luck to you and your poem.

That's an awesome idea,
I do that with Christmas cards, or I did,
when My son was younger, but now I'm into the boring
buy the cards send 'm out cards.
But I will stick to writing.

That's a real shame that you don't write anymore,
it's great to express your feelings by writing, well that's how it works for Me. I read that you use it for when you're sad, to let out your feelings which helps I'm sure.
Maybe you're just too busy being Very Happy,
which is awesome ofcourse, then keep that up littleone.
