I've never understood women who get into a relationship with a guy, and then proceed to squeeze all the maleness out of him and force him to shop with them.  If he does not like shopping, leave him alone and find a girlfriend that does, jeeze. Or, drag him into the dressing room to play grabass when you do drag him along... that always works.

This kind of sums it all up.

Please tell me why oh why
you call me a beast when I'm just being a guy,
I'm doing the best I can,
yet you call me a beast when I'm just being a man

There is a correlation between football watching and spousal abuse. So probably a lot of women are afraid of a man watching his favorite team lose, while drinking heavily, losing the work pool, and taking it out on the nearest physically weaker people - wife and ums.

Not all men who watch football drink while watching it. Not all men lose to the work pool and take it out on the nearest physically weak person. I used to love watching Geoff watch football. He would get excited and jump up and scream and I would just shake my head and smile, hell, half the time I was up doing the happy happy dance too! Correlation between football watching and abuse? Give me a break.

Hugh did that to me once and I laughed myself silly!  He only did it ONCE though. [;)]

My understanding is that the correlation is anectodal; not statistical.  I am interested in any statistical data you can provide to back up your claim.

Total urban legend.  No truth to it at all.

Sub not domme. And yes I am intimidated by men who are angry. This includes yelling at the tv or road rage. There is a correlation between football watching and spousal abuse. So probably a lot of women are afraid of a man watching his favorite team lose, while drinking heavily, losing the work pool, and taking it out on the nearest physically weaker people - wife and ums.

Katy you are sooooo dumb...Cannot begin to express how many times the cops have arrived at the domidome after I have narrowly missed winning the office pool.

Subsusie lies in a heap on the floor, blood pouring from her eyes and ears.  She is mumbling incoherently into the phone after sucessfully completing a hurried 911 call.

Upon their arrival, the cops pull me aside and ask, "who is responsible for this?"...I angrily stare at subsusie as I slowly raise my hand and point down at her  crumpled frame....With much venom as possible I respond, "She is! She suggested that I should put 12 points on Tampa Bay in my confidence pool this week...She claimed that they were a lock!"

The cops step away and talk amongst themselves for a moment and then the younger cop kindly reaches down and pulls subsusie up to a sitting position while the older and larger cop takes out his flashlight and begins pummeling subsusie about the head and the neck with it, while screaming...."You put 12 points on a Gruden led tream this late in the season?  Die! You dumb cunt!"

It was awful.  I can't sleep.

*Shakes head as people (not just this post she is responding to but others as well) just seem to be unable to grasp the differences between "maleness" "man" and the individual....*

Many women do not like some aspects of maleness.  And a lot of them try to squeeze it out of us.  Submissive or not, I refuse to go along with that program.  I like steak and beer, I do not watch Sandra Bullock movies, I don't "antique", and yeah, I like the chicks at Hooters.

for me, a man still has to be a man, period. sub/slave or vanilla, be a man.
i like men...period.  therefore........(and i digress here before i say something "wrong")...

I totally agree.   Shopping is a time for me to walk, unwind, enjoy the view, see if there is something beautiful for my siblings, myself, or my uhm I don't already have.   The very last thing I need, is someone whining, sighing, or otherwise making my experience unpleasant.   Besides that, I tend to think that if a man came along, he should offer to pay for some of the stuff.
For those reasons, I prefer to do it alone, and it is not something I ever expect of my significant other.    I did have a slave who was gracious, generous, and helpful, so there are men who can do it and enjoy it...  Just seems to be the exception in my observation and experience.    M

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Are Women afraid of maleness? (1/31/2009 6:33:40 AM)

Exactly, M!  If he LIKES shopping, fine.  Or if it's a destination like the grocery store, where you better tell me what you want, or you lose the right to complain over what I buy.  Otherwise, I will shop with those who enjoy, I am fully capable of carrying my own bags.  Sorry, fantasy guys!

thetammyjo -> RE: Are Women afraid of maleness? (1/31/2009 6:47:20 AM)

(fast reply to this weird idea that all women like to shop and all men don't)

I hate shopping.

I can think of few things in life that I consider a greater waste of time.

I have always combined as many shopping trips into one morning or afternoon as possible because every minute I have to compare prices, evaluate what is the best purchase, and then deal with the damned store layouts and other there is another minute I can't be doing something more useful, more fun, or more intimate.

I shop because I need to for this household. Shopping is one of my jobs in this household because I'm the person must capable and practiced in making the best purchases. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hello A/all,

men in their natural state:  ie:  Scratching where it itches;  Yelling or groaning at the tv during a football game;  Wearing your favorite old tech school sweat shirt (you know, the sweaty one)!   How could guys being guys be scary?

It's not fear.. it's just embarrassing.  We want to be proud of our servants.  Acting like an ape with the apparent intelligence of a grape just doesn't cut it.

AcademyForSlaves -> RE: Are Women afraid of maleness? (1/31/2009 6:55:49 PM)

Some guys might wish women are scared of him but that's only male ego from an insecure man.

I'm not scared of any man.

I also don't hate men. I might hate what some men DO, but I don't hate a man.
