Skirts for men

Who would wear one  ?

Do you wear one ?

What do others think ?

Me I would and I am not Scottish, they are available in the UK but from scarce sources that say they are stockists though they don't hold stock, perhaps they are a bit too advanced for British sensibilities. I don't know though, all it takes is a few rock bands to start the ball rolling and it could be a new item of youth  culture. Which has just got to be better than the  shell suit bottom tucked into socks.

Check out the mockumercials, they are hilarious !

A resounding YUM from me. I adore men in kilts, rubber or otherwise and would like my boy to wear them outdoors but alas, he is too shy and terrified of friends/family/strangers looking at him as if he were some kind of pervert - and that's the shame of the specific stereotypes we place upon ourselves (and give in to) insofar as how men and women oughta dress according to gender.

I've seen these before.  According to the site, the cheapest one they offer is $150.00.  I've never paid $150 for a pair of pants in my life.  Since these are knee length, they're more equivalent to shorts.  I certainly haven't ever paid $150 for a pair of shorts in my life.  I don't see these being a viable alternative to pants (or shorts) at those prices.  Damn, the so-called "Workmans" kilt is $230!  I've worked outdoor labor jobs before, and I can tell you that you don't pay $230 for something you're going to get dirty or possible tear up.  Utilikilt my ass.

It is 3 below zero out now. The skirt would have to go way below your knees. The kids may try it here but that would not last long. Peer pressure would put an end to that.

Would be an interesting fashion trend in the summer.  I don't think wearing a skirt in the winter would be a good idea...cold kinda brings on that nasty "shrivel" problem.

Real men do wear kilts. I have watched the Kaber toss. Anyone who can pick up a telephone and toss it I am not going to even snicker at.

Men in skirts, I think is stellar as long as it looks good and I feel the same about women.

I remember a few  years back, I took My UM,  on a business trip with Me to London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Gourk---the first full day we were in London and shopping, we saw this very tall (almost 6 feet) dark haired, pale face ( Heathcliff looking) young man on the street in black military boots, a long red skirt and white t-shirt--he looked awesome--she fell for the look--and to this day has dated at least one young man who wore a skirt on occasion.

I have too.  And I seriously cannot see a scotsman giving up his kilt because it gets a bit chilly -3 is nothing.
I do find the price ott though, but then that't probably lack of suppliers and the fact it's passed off as alternative.

Hey Aneirin - Victoria & Albert Museum: designer men's skirts. Click on each thumbnail to get a full picture: perhaps you'll get some inspiration :-) .
