Status: offline 		Bear in mind, at least in California, they won't let you use certain words (I don't know what their list is, but, some do-gooder moralist may take offense at the more obvious ones). They won't even let you use certain numbers in California (i.e., the number '69' is reserved for 1969 year model vehicles).

Also note that the cost, in California, of vanity plates over your lifetime of driving (say 50 years), especially if you change cars (say every 5 years):

1. Let's say, at 20, you get a personalized "Arts" plate from the California DMV (https://vrir.dmv.ca.gov/ipp/PerLicensePlateServlet).
2. Initial cost is $90 for a personalized arts plate
3. Your first five years' renewal fees are $90x5=$450
4. You trade in your old car for a new car and ask to transfer the plate for a transfer fee of $45
5. That makes your first five years' cost $495
6. Do this over your driving lifetime (say 50 years) and your total cost for personalized art plates is $4,950

Note: You can buy an entire used car for the money you've spent in plates alone!
Personalized plates tell the whole world you're both a "J" personality type and a spendthrift! :)

Status: offline 		It's easy to come up with good BDSM-related plates. The possibilities are virtually endless. It's the double entendre part that's hard. Nothing I've come up with yet can be interpreted as either vanilla or BDSM.

Status: offline 		My parents got one for me when I was a Senior in High School....it had my last name on it......which was actually cool for Senior Yr, right ?

i only got it that once because it was horrible how much they wanted...they make you pay the fee every year from what I understand.
